How will Dustin beat Conor?

If Dustin was a smart man he would have Jake Paul in his corner to fuck with the Irish cunt and his corner.

I dont think he will because he will get clipped too cleanly too often
In 33 professional MMA fights, Dustin Poirier has ONLY suffered a TKO loss two times.
That's it....just ....twice in 11.5years and 33fights.

What that tells me is that he has a pretty good chin. He doesn't crumble, or wilt, or give-up or quit.

He has 12 KO wins, and 2 KO losses. Pretty good. He can hit, he can take a shot.

Show me a fighter with 33 Pro fights who hasn't been clipped and hurt. Very very very few, if any. Maybe Jones and Khabib, that's about it. But neither of those two has 33 pro fights, like Poirier.

By being very methodic and measured the first rounds and amping the output and aggression up in the later rounds, where Conor traditionally is fairly gassed.

yeah, but that's against guys who's striking level is just not on Mcgregor's level or near it

Mcgregors striking is amongst the very elites in MMA.

But of course Dustin can still do well he has very good striking as well, but we'll see. It'll be a good fight

Conor has a really good chin on him dont think it gets noticed enough

Ate Mende's strong punches like it was nothing and right after he got hurt by Khabib's overhand he went straight to throwing a flying knee
Really.
- didn't look too steady after this shot from pillow-fisted Nate :

Striking?!?!
Umm... Alvarez? Gaethje? Holloway??

this isn't Poirier's first rodeo against a good striker.
and YES Conor hits hard and YES he is accurate and YES he is dangerous in the 1st round. So...Poirier knows (of course!!) that he has to be careful and avoid getting clipped (like he did 6 long years ago at a different weight class) and he has the benefit of more age and experience and the right weight class for him.

I mean...any fighter that has got locked in a cage with Justin Friggin Gaethje and not only survived but actually KO'd Gaethje...gotta be a good striker and good at AVOIDING getting KO'd.................right?!??!

Let's see what happens.

If Conor beats Poirier fair and square (with no Herb Dean ref (INEVITABLE HE's the REF!!) "oh Conor hit Poirier with one light jab, GOTTA STOP THE FIGHT!!! TKO!!!! SORRY DUSTIN !!!!) Bull-shit manufactured result,......then I will be back in this thread to say "you were right". Hit me up if that happens, I do not mind.

You're a decent dude, you're fair and reasonable and calm and I appreciate that. Not all Sherbros have those attributes.
Thanks man You too:). If Dustin Poirier wins, I'll be excited for him. I just have to be honest and say I don't see him winning I want fans that are saying he's going to win to try to explain a gameplan that I can see he could pull off. Because I'd genuinely would like to know.

end of the day....it's a fight and anything can happen. That's half the fun of it.

by decision would be best bet but Dustin gets hit a lot and probably would get slept by Conor

I don't see him winning but if he does, the same way he beat Hooker.

Survive the beating for the first 2 rounds, wait for Conor to gas then take over in the later rounds.

Dustin hasn't been KO'd or TKO'd at LW.
Michael Johnson..

Conors never been knocked out. I guess there's a first time for everything. I don't see it likely.

Nate was a few shots away from having Conor out.

Conor knew this which is why he shot upon a man he had no business shooting in on.

Conor doesn't have a superb chin, he just hasn't had it tested so often due to being a good striker.

*The above is not a prediction, Conor probably takes it 65/35 but I give Dustin much more of a fighting chance than Cowboy.

He can beat him by simply out working him...

Stand up and ground work. We all know Conor gets tired. So unless he’s massively improved his cardio - which I doubt - he could gas and tire out.

Poirier and Gaethje would both lose to Conor though in a standup game.

McNugget is the best sniper in the division, even with how inactive he's been.

Dustin and Justin has overrated boxing and shit for defence and Dustin is sure as hell not taking Conor down either.

Got damn Hooker almost smoked Dustin.
Imagine what Conor will do?
Seriously not even trying to troll.

Conor Ko rd 2.

He wont. He is getting knocked out. Conor will then call out Khabib and call him all sorts of names, and we will proceed to see the biggest fight in UFC history.

<{JustBleed}>

30-0

Really you should go to watch WWE , is closer to you train of thoughts

Would be dope if he could submit Conor
Yeah I HOPE we get a finish, either way. Too many weird and flaky judging decisions.

A KO or a sub is definitive as long as it's not a goddamn Herb Dean *early stoppage for a UFC favorite*.

One more comment.....Dan Hooker is no joke at all. That was a brutal war between him and Poirer. Yes I know Hooker got destroyed by Barboza (others too) but.... hell a 5-rounder with Dan Hooker is a brutal affair. My strong feeling is Hooker vs McGregor is a Hooker win. Don't @ me biiiiitches.

Sorry, I can't see it. Dustin is a better all around Martial artist, but doesn't make him more elite fighter than conor. Conor has never been knocked out and I don't think Poirier has a submission win at LW.

Dustin isn't a better wrestler than Chad or Khabib and conor had some success there.

If you are Dustin, what's your gameplan to beating McGregor?

This fight will be like Porier vs Geatchje minus all the leg kicks. Porior will throw bombs and Conor will fold. Conor has never fought someone as big and as good a striker as Porier.

Hey man ...fair enough you may be right!!! I don't think so...but....maybe!
Let's see what happens in Jan. Til then....all we're doing is speculating and jawing at each other, but that's fun enough in itself.
