How to train my cat from killing and bringing in its kills?

The cat is showing you its grateful. We had a cat that did exactly the same thing, would kill everything it could and bring it home for us. Once in a while I would go outside and the cat would be there with an animal not all the way dead sitting next to it. Play with it til the batteries run out then bring it in the house lmao. That cat was awesome but disappeared one day never to return.
 
Those animals had bad karma. Your cat is Buddha’s glorious warrior of balance.

The cat does not actually eat its victims. So it is arguably murdering rather than hunting. Is a cat capable of sin as used in the Buddhist context? If so will the cats wanton murders impact its reincarnation?

The cat is showing off what it did, and looking for praise. Denying it of this will screw the cat up. It is part of its natural instinct.

I would think that maybe if you beat her over the head with her dead prey she might learn to stop bringing that crap inside to you.
 
Take the cat out with you and kill an animal then take it home and eat it.

A cat bringing its kills home is it's way of saying that it knows you are a bad hunter and its trying to take care of you.

But seriously, I don't know dude never owned a cat.

Make an alter unto Lord Yama, and have your cat leave his kills there.

I've heard that when they give you their prey it's like they're trying to feed you or something (@Zookeeper Gabe probably knows more than I about this)

I also think that a cat's karma can't be defined in human terms. Blaming a cat for killing shit is like blaming a Hungry Ghost for being a bit peckish.

I had two cats that stayed inside. They wanted out badly so I started to let them out and both were killed. Too many fox and coyotes around my place.

It depends on the cat. My cat hates it outside but sometimes I still take him out for fresh air until he whines to go in.

But my cat is a fancy ass Devon Rex from England.
 
That's bad ass why would you want your cat to stop? Replace you Buddha shrine with a picture of your cat and worship him.
