Hi, I have a fairly new TV. I can’t get the SNES to play on it though.

I’ve tried all the inputs, but they don’t work..

I’ve played SNES on this TV a few years ago, so I know it’s possible.

Is there anything I’m missing?

This is what I’ve got the SNES plugged in with..

Thanks. I’m not using the Red, yellow, and white cables though. I’m using the RF switch.

AV to HDMI converter or you can buy an android box and install emulators

I have the Nvidia Shield and have every SNES, NES, N64, Genesis game there is and over 50 PS1 games. They run full speed too.

I'd say easiest is hook a computer with hdmi out to your TV, use emulator and USB controller.

Use an emulator and connect your computer to the TV and use USB gamepads. Emulators have alot of filters making the graphics looks alot more smooth and crisp compared to the actual console.

This guy gets it.

You could easily get a preconfigured raspberry Pi gaming box that comes with all Atari, NES, SNES, Genesis/Megadrive, and MAME games on it and they emulate the original games perfectly.

If not you can get an AV to HDMI converter so you can play it on your TV and or you could buy an working CRT TV on ebay for cheap. I have one in my garage that still works

weird, i hook all my old gaming consoles up no problem. it's actually the older tvs i have a problem with, so i hook a vcr up and do it through that lol.

Plug it into the TV's coaxial cable input then switch the TV channel to 3 or 4?

My HDTV's pick up the SNES with the red white and yellows but it won't recognize the signal out of an RF coax cable. I have an original NES with the coax cable so it won't play on any of my newer school TVs. I keep an old school TV just for the old school games, nothing beats playing Duck Hunt with my little 3 year old niece.

Is it that weird to have an HDTV that has the red/yellow/white inputs? My lg from like 2012 does, I just use the proprietary SNES cable.

The emulator is probably the way to go. I only have a half dozen SNES cartridges and the upscaling is non-existent through the TV.

i plug my n64 straight into the ariel input. but i also have an old school type tv for playing that stuff on. although it is painful on the eyes after watching hdtv for a decade or more.

Probably the best solution. Only thing I would say is if you go with the raspberry pi it would be cheaper but you won't be able to play most n64 games.
