How profitable is a flu shot?

Doctors do it, some don't unless you insist, if they randomly ask you to take it, you know they are about money.

The healthcare industry has become so corporatized most medical providers need the umbrella of the corporation because the malpractice insurance scam priced most of them out of being able to make a good living from a private practice.

The big pharma (the p is silent) companies and healthcare inc make out no matter what. U pay, insurance pays, or gov't pays. And then any loss they take (which isn't an actual loss, just the difference between the negotiated value of their price gouging between them and the insurance) gets written off as a loss for tax purposes.

Have you seen those circulars for dept store jewelry sales that say previously $899 now only $99. Except then the dept store would be able to claim that as a $800 loss and apply it to their taxes, but they're still profiting on the same piece of shit that only cost them $20 to begin with.

If you get the flu shot the rest of us judge you.

The pharmacy at the grocery store gives you a flu shot, they claim it's free, because they bill your insurance so it's free to you.

My question is how much does my insurance pay them for that shot?
I’m not sure I understand who you think has the monetary incentive to dole out flu shots.

But most medical insurance fraud (read: all medical insurance fraud) is perpetrated by the service providers.
So I suppose the grocery store could be overcharging the insurance company for the flu shots.
But I think this kind of thing is less about the money and more about laundering their image. Like when billionaires donate to charity.
