How much longer will Sherdog last?

All of my favorite forums have either died or are dying, the last of them are going down now because inflation the owners can't afford server costs because it's not worth it. So feels like all forums are on borrowed time, most everybody posts in facebook/groups now. How much longer do you see this ancient relic of the internet lasting? It's crazy I still see join dates of 2002 on here.

Sherdog is my social media so I guess I'll have social media after this.

Censorship will be what takes out Sherdog.
We got at least another 5-10 years before that though.

What will happen is they will take away the ability to talk shit, and most of us will leave because that's really all that makes Sherdog interesting anymore. The second you get banned for calling someone names, Sherdog will die.

Still remember the days when I was considered a noob because I joined after TUF season 1.
We used to blast ever thread about TUF.
I would have never guessed in a million years that a reality show would produce multiple champions.

That was when I started figuring out how low level of a sport MMA is. I remember thinking that Fedor was on the same Level as dudes playing professional sports.
Could you imagine a reality show with some dudes that used to play HS or College sports competing to get an NFL or NBA contract, and then several of them going on to become all star players the make their way to the hall of Fame?

I figure enough of you fucks will become full blown nazis, start dropping slurs, and get banned until the traffic on this site drops off to the point it isn't profitable to run anymore.

Even before this site sherdog existed on a another host website i like 2001 or 2000 so considering it has been around for 21 or 22 years it can easily last another 15 years.

It amazes me that, in the ubiquitous of the internet, that an mma site has by far the best forum I've ever stumbled across. I hope this place stays around awhile.

Outside of a few message boards I have no interest in other forms of social media aside from Youtube. Reddit, 4 Chan, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, they are all garbage to me. Reddit and 4 Chan are message boards but they have shitty formats and both are cesspools of different flavors (but at least have some variety).

Sometimes the dumbest, most unbelievable threads are the funniest content around here yet the mods keep putting the axe to threads by @Hatorade and @IloveTHIS ....

Now that I think about it I think I understand the mods aren't interested in @Hatorade awful movie opinions and probably definitely don't want to get run over by a drunk driver
such as @IloveTHIS

Thing is I think they are both trolls so I guess mods are doing their jobs after all

As long as MMA stays alive sherdog will stay alive for a long time. A few photography forums I use to go on are still going strong. I haven't been on bb.com forums in ages so I have no idea what's going on there. Is the misc section still a thing? When I was hardcore into sneakers/street wear all the forums from the mid 2000s are gone. Hypebeast and ISS were two big ones. I think Nike Talk still exist but haven't checked. Flyertalk is still active for saavy travelers. I use to go on a forum when I played Diablo II, counterstrike, street fighter. I'm guessing all those forums are gone or dead.

Somehow after all these years (including a few years of lurking prior to opening an account) I'm still on sherdog despite my lower interest in MMA compared to the good ol days.
Hypebeast bapetalk I remember those long gone but not forgotten.
