I think part of sherdogs boards success is that new guys are constantly recruited in to the HW and then graduate in to the other boards when the interest in mma fades.

We are like Erick Silva, JUST A KID, still, with our live career ahead of us.

I’ve been here for a bit and have seen ebbs and flows but this is a pretty easy place to stir up some nonsense and also to have a serious discussion.

Most MMA arguments here die down after about 15 years after the fact so people are just now starting to let go of UFC vs Pride, Shogun is Goat, anti Tim Sylvia posts, and the like.

Right now you can still start a fight by calling Carlos Condition the running man, Brock got lucky against Carwin, GSP cheated Penn and other stuff from over 10 years ago

15 years from now there will still be people pissed off at Chimaev, Gamebred punching Colby and on and on. So we got at least 15 years of sherdog even if MMA stopped tonight

All of my favorite forums have either died or are dying, the last of them are going down now because inflation the owners can't afford server costs because it's not worth it. So feels like all forums are on borrowed time, most everybody posts in facebook/groups now. How much longer do you see this ancient relic of the internet lasting? It's crazy I still see join dates of 2002 on here.

The demise of MMA and Sherdog have both been about to meet their demise since I joined over 10 years ago. So, never, like as not..

All I can say is I've enjoyed my time on Sherdog forums and it is remarkable how long they have already endured. Literally a generation, 25 years. What other platforms have had that kind of longevity on the internet? There are not many.
