How much butter do you go through in a day?

I haven’t bought butter in ages. If I make a grilled cheese sammich I will spray olive oil onto it.

I just started tallying it up with the wife and butter is expensive!
We go through about 2/3 of a pound of butter most days. So call it 4 pounds a week.

And unless it's on sale it's like 5 dollars a pound.
So we're spending like 20 bucks a week on butter
That means we spend about $1000 on butter every year.

At that price I think we are better off just buying a cow!
Do you think he could live in the garage?

How much butter do you guys use? Any tips on using less better?
Holy fucking shit. What do you do with it all? I don't get through any but I don't understand what you can do with that much butter.
Question, are you and/or your family, fat?

I have 1 knob a day.

2nd page (43 posts) and no knob joke. You're slacking

No but I cook my own food right and it adds up.

A little bit to fry my morning bacon and sausages in, a little bit to make pancakes with, some more melted on top of the pancakes. Couple of pieces of toast in the mid morning. Some muffins for mid day. Couple table spoons in afternoon Kraft Dinner. Use some for frying up supper. Maybe a late night grilled-cheese. Double all that for the wife, that adds up.

Canadian farmers got their government to limit dairy imports from the US claiming there was an excess milk production in Canada. That created artificial shortages and caused the prices to rise in Canada. I can buy 2 pounds of butter for $5 at my local convenience store.

I probably use 3/4 of a pound a week.

Butter is a mix of cheap animal fat with mixed hormons from different artificially pregnant gene cows. Don't eat that shit! Seriously ...
