To a certain extent it is. The scoring criteria has an entire passage dedicated to what impact actually means and some pointers on how to spot it. Whether you're smart enough to understand the content of my thread is no skin off my nose. I just hope the 3rd Holloway fight comes sooner than later so that the division doesn't get held up.

One round first fight. Two rounds in the second. I had him winning a total of three. But at least a couple more rounds I gave to Volkanovski were pretty close.

1st fight Max won 1 rd, possibly 2. 2nd fight Max won 3 rds, possibly 2. IMO, Max won at least 3 rds, but possibly 5 rds as some rds were very close. If I absolutely had to say definitively, I'd say he won 4 out of 10 rds (1 in the 1st fight, 3 in the rematch)

After Max's most recent win in a scintillating bout with Yair Rodriguez this past weekend, talk of Holloway possibly facing the UFC's Featherweight Champion, Alexander "the Great" Volkanovski have begun again.

Volk has mentioned a third fight and that he would accept. Max has mentioned it in the past. Dana White has spoken about it a few times.

However...

This thread isn't to discuss whether or not you want to see a third fight - which you can obviously elaborate upon in your post as well - but to ask you how many rounds did Holloway win against Volkanovski over two fights.

If you looked as the second fight as a whole instead of round by round, Holloway won that fight and the most significant moments.

That's not how fights are scored though. Max wins 2 rounds with because of the knockdowns. Besides those moments it was an extremely even round in both cases and Volk was back uup throwing immediately. Max was taken down and Volk was landing ground and pound which wins the 5th. We saw with Ortega what another 30 seconds of time at the end of the 5th might have looked like...

Max was outworked in the 3rd and 4th resulting in getting taken down and having his leg kicked out at one point. Volk landed 10 more strikes in each round, had the control time and a takedown. How does Max win those rounds? Volk was landing equal shots.

I’d have to rewatch to give you an honest number. I remember thinking the first fight was as close as they get. I had no doubt in my mind though that Max won 3 rounds of the rematch. Bad decision
