How Many Pushups Can You Do Nonstop?

Just started doing doing them again a week or so ago and at 35 straight with as good of form as I can all the way down an up a little wide , used to be at 50 a day
 
I got into a push-up contest with everyone at the Jiujitsu academy, not my idea , but decided that I wanted to win , had to bang out 93 before the last guy finally dropped
I was hurting bad for about 3 days
 
Now, with controlled full reps, I can't get beyond 42 on a good day.
I was training towards "100 pushups routine" but hit a ceiling at 60something.
I'm 198cm and 120kg+.
Diminishing returns become strange at a max potential.

I can comfortably do 10+ full range pullups though! And I managed 20+ at my best.

I'm proud of that.
I'm in a rare category for height and weight (and age).
What I did find out though during the pushups routine is that I'm more primed for endless sets rather than endless reps in a set.
 
When I was in the navy we had a mini Olympics, each barracks had a team.

I ran the 100 and did pushups, came in second in the 100 but won the pushups with 90 in 90 seconds.

The last time I had done pushups until yesterday out of curiosity.....60.

Pullups is the bitch, nope not saying it's fucking embarrasshing.

Yeah, pull-ups you use it or lose it. Right now my max is 8. Which is hard to take when my max in the Marines was 30 my last year in.
 
Been several months since I last did them. I'll guess about 70-80.

I can do probably max 35 clean push ups. I am heavy 112 kg and can bench 120kg 2-3 times.


100 push ups - guys you gotta almost touch the ground and go all the way up. +90% are doing fake reps.

Triceps are shot from yesterday. We did kickbacks, close grip bench, weighted dips and weighted dips.

8.....BRAVO~~~~~~~~ Guess that says it all about my pullups prowess, ah.......lack of,

I did 20 as an 8th grader, and could have done more, I only needed 20 to score on some chart, That was about 100 pounds ago.
