How many people here have been knocked out training?

I was training Vale Tudo and we were praticing shooting in. I was still fairly new and my shoot was weak anyways he caught me with a couple of stiff uppercuts. Everyone had a good laugh.

I was real real close to falling yesterday when I sparred Akira Shoji, because he was owning me with body shots/knees. Shoji is teaching me some "stomach toughening" tricks though, so hopefully I can become more resistant to body shots.

I've never been flat out KO'ed, but I've gotten seriously rocked lots of times.

Want 3 rounds with a short wide boxer guy once in striking class. First thing I did fighting him was walk into a stiff right hand hook that came over my jab, Cross combo. I was really fuzzy headed but I don't think I let on cuz he didnt come in to finish me.

The rest of that round I circled away from him and kicked his legs. He was a southpaw, so his leading right leg was always out front perfect for me to deliver my back round kick to his inner thigh. After the first round he already wasn't moving very well and he was getting frustrated trying to cut off the ring and come in. In the second round I leg kicked him more, and when he came in I peppered him with stiff jabs and crosses.

Then at the end of the third round I had been working off the jab and he was more timid. Plus his leg was bruised. I came in with a jab, and ducked that same right hook, hit him with a right hook to the body, then a left hook to the body, and another left to the head, all with my head still down from ducking the hook. I felt his head snap sideways hard and stood up and he was out on his feet right as the bell rang.

I was really happy I adjusted so well after almost getting KO'ed and won it.

Another time I shot in and got tagged like 3 times hard with shots to my head. I got rocked hard off that, but the guy hit me in the back of the head....

There's been numerous times like that in training.

Twice, I got slammed wrestling freestyle, I was out for a good two minutes. The second one wasn't really a knockout. I was training and my partner kept catching me in a triangle choke. He told me if I got caught again, I was goin out. Sure enough, he caught me again, and I woke up with him standin over me. Gettin choked out leaves you with a wicked headache.

i know what you mean about the head ache, i've gotten them from fighting guillitiones and triangles too long

a couple times during sparring in mma i have felt like i was about to go on some good punches where my head was bouncing off the mat lol

Almost fainted cos i was de-hydrated and it was really hot and we were trraining incredibly hard but not been ko'ed. But last time i boxed my brother, we went 4 rounds and he gave me three nose bleeds and hit me in the ear a few times in the clinch which bruised the cartilage for about 5-6 weeks. Was very painful couldn't touch it or anything

Had flash KO from Right Cross, Only 0nce. It just buckled the knees and sent me down to my butt.

Never KO'd but definitely dazed a fue times, kick in the nuts plenty of times, and choked out by my teacher when showing the class how to properly use a back choke. Not fun.

I myself have only been put out of commision due to liver shots, side kicks, and spinning backkicks, Although i KO'ed my 3 year younger brother by misstake when sparring. he turned hes back and i uppercutted he was flat out.

I also choked out a friend using his GI, I dident realise he was out for a couple pf seconds. its some Scary shit

i ve been dropped to one knee 2 or 3 time but never knocked completely out.

I got knocked out last week. We were testing one of our students for his Black Sash (kung fu), during the clinch i slipped and fell into knee stike that was intended for my body. They say i was out for 2min. I still have the bruise on my head.

Never been ko'd by a headshot. Got hit in the solar plexus/rib area with a jumping turning back kick that put me down for the count in training. Got put down to a knee in a competition by a right hook where my opponent was 25 and i was 16 and inexperienced.

If you did it on purpose, then you're an asshole. If you did it by accident then you're terrible.

I did it on purpose. I just wanted to teach these 4th graders that adults hit very hard... on purpose.

Benn knocked senseless quite few times, mainly from chokes.

Only ever been KO'd fully once and that was when I was sparring with a guy about 3 inches taller I went to shoot him landed on my kness he got up, I ducked his first kick caught the second one right on the jaw which sent my mouth gaurd halfway accross the ring. Was out for about 3 minutes apparently.

Accidently sent a guy out with a stepping sidekick by accident. Me and my mate were sparring and he ducked it but the guy was standing right behind him.

been ko once. i was a blue belt up aginst a brown belt ( were kenpoist) i got out of the way of a round house kick and when i went forward got caught with a spinning heel kick. im 330 and fell like a tree. when my eyes open i had three people standing around me i just put a finger up to get a second to recover. same brown belt rocked me with a round house and his foot insently swolled up and was out for the rest of the night. first time i got to spar my instroctor/cousin i just went forward with punches and got kicked in the gorin every time i step forward. after that night i stop bull rushing people.
i've also been cut with a back knuckle

Never but I have been mildly concussed by four Tysonesque hooks to the head.

Me, from a double-leg pickup and slam.. Lights out for about 20 seconds.. I don't know, that's what my coach said..

I have been on the receiving end of a flash knockdown but I was awake again as soon as I hit the floor and have twice been dropped by hits to the mid section
