Law How Many Executive Orders/Proprosals Do You Agree/Disagree with

They have scrutiny. If the POTUS disagrees with their spending, he can veto the spending bill.
I see no issue with an occasional audit. Presidents change every 4 years. Some spending may be outdated or unnecessary.

Without scrutiny? Yes.

This seems like a major expansion of presidential power. Should there be limits to this?

What if for example a president decided to withhold all federal funds to a particular state due to a personal vendetta? Or what if a president withheld all funding to a particular agency, effectively shutting the entire agency down?

Executive orders are essentially laws, and therefore clearly unconstitutional. I have no idea how they're allowed, especially at the magnitude that they have been for the last 25 or so years.
It’s good to find something we agree on. I wouldn’t say they’re unconstitutional in and of themselves—ai think it’s fine for the POTUS to make certain decisions as to priorities. So for example, you could issue an EO telling the DEA to prioritize busts and arrests for fentanyl and meth and don’t worry about marijuana right now, or something like that. But we’ve reached a point where Presidents are basically legislating using EOs, and making drastic changes that should actually be handled with legislation by Congress.

They're allowed because they only last until the next President revokes them. Actual laws are a lot harder to pass and a lot harder to repeal.
It’s not always that easy though. Look at everything Trump went through trying end DACA, that wasn’t done with just a stroke of a pen.

Don't want to create a thread but this is funny the end especially.

I see no issue with an occasional audit. Presidents change every 4 years. Some spending may be outdated or unnecessary.
An audit is fine, but a POTUS doesn’t have the right to freeze or change spending already authorized by Congress. And they don’t need to in order to audit. They have access to the budget, just like you and I can look through our bank records and figure out where our money is going without freezing all our spending. A POTUS can conduct that audit without disrupting current spending, and he and Congress can do something different when it’s time to pass the next budget bill.

Disagree with #1. For the rest I agree with about half of them.

"Executive orders issued on January 20 and 21, 2025, rescinded a host of executive actions by President Biden."

I vehemently support all Trump EOs that rescinded all EO's by our former Weekend at Bernies POTUS. Such a disasterous mess has to be cleaned up immediately, good job Trump.

I am neutral on all others, I will make my determination at the end of the 4 years, I voted for the guy, he's steering the ship, we will see how much tip I give when the reach our destination.

im honestly surprised, even here, that there are already a few people agreeing with #1

1. Ending requirements that government employees report gifts or investments

would love to hear an explanation of why this would be a good thing for the US
Yeah, that's not going to be a good thing. . .

i obviously have my own biases. If you feel there is another executive order or proposal you want added, write it, count it on your own tally, and ill try to add it to the list over time
Support al of them.
