10, 20, 30, 50 years? Will the UFC ever land there?

Would make for an interesting season of TUF if they went full Congo

I think an event in South Africa will happen in the next 3 years.
They've been singing more and more guys from over there.

Well we've already got some Dagestani fuck that comes from the mountains and wrestles bears, the day we get some uber African tribesman looking motherfucker that chokes out lions fighting in the UFC will be a great day for the sport.

I dream of an Olympics of MMA every four years where 88 countries send their best fighting men and women for crown. Hell, do it at openweight, have it take months, I wouldn't even care.

none of the fighters would be hydrated to sanctions expectations.

UFC Africa has as much a chance of happening as Ruan Potts has of becoming UFC HW champ

Lol, for now yes... who knows in the future... Ngannou, Manuwa, Njikuoani, some explosive guys from nigeria right there.

I don't think it makes much sense, do we even have any notable African fighter?

Brazil, Japan, Ireland, US, Canada all makes sense

Sucks for the fans over there, but I don't see it happening

There seems to be a lack of MMA fighters from the African continent who can compete on an international level.

The UFC signed Ruan Potts, the HW champion of EFC Africa (based in South Africa) who got smashed inside two rounds in his three UFC fights before being booted back to the EFC.

African combat sports fans are much more interested in boxing. The lack of training opportunities, competition or minor leagues in MMA needed to create fighters who can be competitive abroad just doesn't exist.
