How Long Before they Pull the Plug on ESPN+?

My tv is from 2006. I have ESPN+ on my phone. No way to download apps on my 13 year old tv unfortunately. Need to save up for a new tv. I can watch on my phone but not very convenient for getting together with friends to watch it
My 2017 41 inch Samsung smarttv was $245 when I bought it new, you shouldn’t need to save for months to get a tv

there are other ways to stream video to your tv...IE a firestick or chromecast and ESPN+ is available on both....like my post said....google. pretty simple.

You can also run a cable from your laptop to the TV....again, simple.

Or ask a friend that has a newer tv.

Or go to a bar.

It's not hard to watch the fights.

Yes I actually did catch a few of the UFC PPVs this year doing just what you mentioned. Some casuals out there aren’t willing to go the extra mile though. I’m sure it’s nothing significant, but a few buys were lost this year because of ESPN+

Brazilian model is the best for people who actually like combat sports. It's a channel called "combate", and it costs 60 reais monthly, U$ 15, and you can enjoy pretty much everything related to MMA. Everysingle UFC, the domestic events and you dont see shit from other sports, just fighting.

Your parents=/=everyone.

I grew up redneck and know several people that have no internet access at all, and the options available to them are dogshit, take a minute to load a webpage bad.
Ha ha so true. I’m living in some bs southern university town with a “tech development hub.” Five miles down the highway, there is no internet service beyond dial up.

Like I said before, "I think you underestimate how much of us older folks are still living a pretty primitive life lol"

I actually have no idea how to get netflix on my tv. I've never in my life had netflix. I'm an old fashion cable tv watcher and dvd collector. Some of us just never thought we'd have to get up to date with technology in order to watch the new UFCs. Don't know why that warrants name calling. My TV was bought in 2006, never thought it was necessary to upgrade my set up, UNTIL ESPN+ and DAZN taking over the fight world became a thing. All I was trying to say is there's a few of us out there still
Hey man, definitely consider buying one of the new TVs.

I hadn’t bought one since 2003. Never watch the stuff.
Recently bought a 65-inch behemoth that couldn’t have weighed more than 30 pounds. They’re dirt cheap. Even takes a Fight Pass app with no need to hook up gizmos. The only thing I use it for is MMA and it’s still totally worth it.

All I know is ever since they made the move my streams have been solid AF. All HD and no lag.

I used to have a group of friends that watched every ppv or free card no matter who was fighting. No one out of that group has ESPN+ or has plans to.

ESPN+ has to somewhat complicate the whole “Theres a UFC tonight? Let’s pitch in and order it!”

“Oh shoot we can’t order it on Satellite Dish or Comcast? What is ESPN+? How do we get it up on the big screen? Never mind!”

I can’t help but wonder, how manny times has this happened?

I think it’d be nice if we could choose between ESPN+ or good ol PPV. Why not both?

If UFC is doing good with ESPN+ then more power to them, but will they ever be able to top Conor/Khabib buys with this model?

Exactly I have many older blue collar friends who would buy a ppv.....even if it wasn't stacked like most ufc events the past 5-6 years havent't been all day long. Now that you have to buy it through espn+ to watch a bunch of small guys and chicks fight? All to see a couple bums in the "main event" stop because of an eyepoke? These guys can build a 3000ft custom home from the foundation up, but have no reason to learn how the new ppv schedule works. Can you blame them? The sport got popular because it was big guys who you know could beat your ass, not a bunch of 5'6 135lbs guys and some steroid loaded lesbians. Go look at the stacked cards that got fans into it. The smallest weight class was 170. The sport will be done after the espn contract is up. It's a fucking joke now.
