How Long Before they Pull the Plug on ESPN+?

By February of 2020 they’ll have a ton more content + more original shows.

Add to the fact that Hulu has all that adult content + Sports from ESPN+, the bundle deal at $12.99 is a steal imo. It’s cheaper than Netflix and you get 3 different services.

Cool. I'll wait til then. It's just not a day one purchase right now.

I already ordered it, $4 a month if you had got it during the D23 special like a few weeks ago, makes my bundle actually $1 cheaper than they will have the bundle for when it launches.

But I’m very much looking forward to the Marvel stuff and Mandalorian so I had to get it

ESPN+ has to somewhat complicate the whole “Theres a UFC tonight? Let’s pitch in and order it!”

“Oh shoot we can’t order it on Satellite Dish or Comcast? What is ESPN+? How do we get it up on the big screen? Never mind!”
This may have happened once or twice when ESPN+ was new but everyone has already adapted, that argument doesn't work anymore

If there is a buzzy UFC fight, my friends call me, a big boxing fight, we call the other guy with DAZN etc..

They should name it fightpass and have all sorts of other combat sports events on it too
Wow. Fight Pass? Kind of like a VIP/Press Pass but about fighting? That's clever! You should pitch this to Dana and see how it plays out.

Fuck espn+ and dazn. Havent watched a single event on those two.

That’s the future, it ain’t going away my dude

And not being able to fast forward without a preview screen, stupid and cheap platform....I'll just FF and guess where the action starts again.

PS: WTF is a "commercial break" on ESPN+, aren't we the consumers of said product ?

Yeah its bullshit they put commercials in and the rewind button is atrocious for modern live stream service.

You think I'm the only one interested in this deal who doesn't care about Disney movies? What about all the other adult males without kids?

As a childless adult (or an adult living without children in their home) you are not the primary target market for lots of things. Take for example, Disney world.

As it turns out, there are lots of popular mainstream businesses where the largest target market isn't going to be single men or childless households. If we made a Venn diagram, you will still be in there, but with a much smaller intersection.

I cannot imagine this is really something confusing?

This isn't Disney World, it's a streaming service tied in with ESPN+. And I happen to be in the primary demographic for ESPN.

Why would they when in fact it is growing.
Also love all the fans that for some reason think that cable subscribers are still the majority for stuff like this. Most fans I know havent ordered a UFC PPV for years through their cable/dish company.
Get with the decade and ditch your obsolete tech. It is so easy for me to order a PPV. Just one push of a button. No cable and no dish.

ESPN, all owned broadcas networks, including ABC and eight owned television stations is in their filings as "Disney media networks." It had revenue of ~5.92 billion first quarter of this year.

Disney's total revenue for the quarter was $15.35 billion.

ESPN represents a fraction, of a fraction of Disney's total revenue. If you are a single guy or otherwise childless household, you are not the primary target demographic for Disney+.

Why would any of this need to be explained?

Perfect Sherdog thread - no knowledge of contracts, no figures or data to prove their assertions, just 1 sentence with a fatuous, stupid assertion.

Why are you allowed to make threads?
"So when are they gonna get rid of Usada, unified rules, and time limits,it just seems 4 or 5 people are kinda pissed off about this stuff.

UFC probably makes the most money from this gig

My tv is from 2006. I have ESPN+ on my phone. No way to download apps on my 13 year old tv unfortunately. Need to save up for a new tv. I can watch on my phone but not very convenient for getting together with friends to watch it

there are other ways to stream video to your tv...IE a firestick or chromecast and ESPN+ is available on both....like my post said....google. pretty simple.

You can also run a cable from your laptop to the TV....again, simple.

Or ask a friend that has a newer tv.

Or go to a bar.

It's not hard to watch the fights.
