How is Nate Diaz such a superstar?

He's real.

You either get him or you don't.

No worries. Don't try to like something that you don't like.
There's several fighters that are real and not putting up a fake act, including many who are a lot more accomplished than Nate. Imo his gangster act is fake, he's never been in or ran with any gangs

You did not read my post corectly. I said " many people" which pertains to confident speakers which nate is not and tries not to be and his unwillingness to be inspirational gives him the realness.
I did read your post, role models are subjective, that's what you think they should be like. Ignoring the idea that to others Nate Diaz might be their role model and not the people you think are role models. It all depends on life style and goals people want to achieve. Talking confidently isn't the same as acting confidently which Diaz bros does with their fighting. Watch any Diaz bro fight and you can tell they are confident in their abilities, it shows in their actions. You are looking for more of a public perception type of character that gives great speeches and tries to say and do all the right things on camera. When Jones does it everyone calls him fake.

Plus the people that bring up Nate promoting his own weed brand, did they also have something negative to say with Conor promoting his whiskey brand? Alcohol was part of prohibition as well and viewed just as negatively as weed was. Alcohol's prohibition just ended earlier and the public perception of alcohol has changed since then. Science proves which is a healthier option, it's only stigma, public perception, and laws not being updated with current times that gives that perception of the Diaz bros. "Oh look he thinks he's cool for smoking." is the same thing as "Oh look he thinks he's cool for drinking."

Conor made him into a superstar

as a fighter
nate is what I'd class as borderline average
not special
not poor

he has some big wins and a lot of Ls
some fights he shouldn't have took as he didn't belong at 170
but if you watch the Thompson fight
that's the blueprint on how to beat him

he has always been popular
but his win over conor took it to the next level

as far as it goes with his personality
it's childish
wannabe gangster act that you expect in highschool

the guy who distracts the lesson

He’s never once claimed to be in a gang, only you insecure Diaz haters say that to try and justify not liking someone who is very authentic. Although he does have quite the impressive entourage of badass combat athletes with him in paradise valley with him right now. Nick Diaz Army is a gang to some degree.

I think self-awarness can help you go a long way. Anyone who had the privilege of sitting in that oval office as the president is not an idiot, Sherdogger.

<TrumpWrong1>

LMAO GTFOH Trump is a buffoon!

Also, Trump has been a household name for almost fifty years.

Yea sure... maybe in your house.

For most people he was an entertaining character - vis-à-vis a rich fool - nothing more.

He is known for speaking his mind in the most basic terms. Dismissive people call that idiotic, others call that courageous because it is a lot more difficult to say something decisive and to the point than talking around it.

He speaks in the most basic "terms" because he is an uneducated fool, who grew up a spoiled rich kid and had everyone else do the hard lifting for him throughout life. Even his own family members, co-workers, former staff and colleagues talk about this regularly. LOL

Anyone who calls him courageous is an idiot too and needs to reevaluate their life and education. <TheDonald>

He calls himself a gangster all the time

He calls himself a gangster all the time
And Lyoto Machida called himself a dragon, do we need proof of fire breathing?

Mitsubishi clearly in good fun and he is one. Being gangster and claiming to be a gang member are two completely different things.

Tons of great fights and befire Nate his brother was having tons of great fights.

For someone who calls Trump an idiot, you sure seem passionate about him with such lengthy response and all those gifs.

Gracie Black Belt, Brother of Nick Diaz, TUF winner, UFC LW contender, challenges contenders at WW, 1-1 against a prime Conor McGregor, at one time owned record for most strikes landed in a UFC fight.

All of you can suck a dick.

You seeing “passion” in a simple post might have more to do with your remedial education and/or mindset.

Also would explain your self professed admiration for Trump’s “courageous” way of talking like a buffoon.

He's the first guy in the UFC to beat Conor, that's the main reason, whoever fights Conor gets more popular, look at Aldo no one cared about his fights but once he fought Conor it was by far his best PPV as a main event fighter

No. You are in self denial. It's like when someone else has to remind you how fat your ass is getting. Sometimes, others know more about you than yourself from how you project yourself.

Also, whatever Trump says or does is always followed with universal backlash yet he always comes back for more. It sounds more courageous than bitching about Trump on a Nate Diaz forum on Sherdog using a Darkseid avatar.
