How is Manon gonna beat Valentina?

Pretty much everyone. Manon has 2 TKOs in the UFC, one was against a straw weight and the other was a can with a 1-4 record in the UFC. Other than that she has zero knockdowns and as far as I remember she hasn't even wobbled anyone, in terms of power she's a lot closer to Katlyn Chookagian than Amanda Nunes.

What's interesting to me is that most betting sites have Manon as the slight favorite.

I guess the odds are on age catching up with Valentina.

So with that being said her best chance seems to have an Alexa moment, trying to capitalyze a huuugee mistake from Valentina, if she makes one...

she has a 1-2 and a lot of ish ish. No variety. No fancy footwork. People overrate her heavily.
 
Valentina has been fighting professionally for over 2 decades and physically has been fading for years now.

Happens she was so far ahead of the competition that she still dominated. But you can clearly see her striking is not the same and she adapted her style and became more and more a grappler later in her career.


Edit: I don't gamble anymore but I would take Shevchenko as an underdog all ay.

Valentina's wrestling and ground control isn't that slick. A lot of her takedowns are in the clinch. It isn't easy to outmuscle Manon in that area. Valentina seems to be slipping in the striking department. Her reflexes aren't as sharp as before and she does the majority of her work off counters. I don't think Manon is some all time great but she is still performing at a high level. She showed some TDD against Rose.

She has great timing on her shots when people try to fire back on her in the stand-up. Totally GSP style

she's going to wear Val down with her size. Val likes to grapple too much now a days because she's getting old and Manon is big asf.
 
I don't think Valentina can keep her down enough to win and may get outpointed on the feet. No way old Valentina loses to her.
