Been a long time since I set foot on American soil but I'm headed back in a few weeks. What did I miss? Is it really as bad as everyone says? What should i expect?

Expect a bunch of confused young people in strange clothing

same here. I wonder how much has changed since I've left and what I will encounter when I visit this year. Due to sherdog, I'm expecting to run into a lot of hipster dweebs and feminists.

Society has apparently changed quite a bit...and more importantly, we have changed, too.

I aunt who used to live in USA said to me that America is not what it used to be,

I was expecting maybe like an American Dream.....where you work and live there happily ever after is gone.

It's somehow gotten both more racist and more social justice-y in my opinion. It's like everyone is going more and more to an extreme.

Everytime I think of America, all I think is Baywatch.....

I hope that Pamela Anderson Baywatch is what USA today.

It hasn't been like that since the 1960s
I have to disagree with you mate, during the 90's America used to be the #1 destination for people who want to live abroad.

Now it is eclipsed by European, Oceanian and Asian countries like Switzerland, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Norway and Denmark.

Like music, everyone thinks the previous generation had it better than today.

Recall bias makes everyone think of Beaver Cleaver and happy times. There was good and bad then, there is good and bad now.
