42-7-1 (35 KO's) Beat an old Shavers and Leon Spinks. Lost splits to Norton, Dokes, and Douglas. Apparently he won a fight that was changed to a NC after they both tested positive for cocaine lol. I love the 80's era of HW boxing, such an underrated era.

I think a lot of the B's in the 80's would have been pretty competitive in today's era. Many written off b3cause Holmes was dominating, then Tyson was dominating. Both those guys are in top 10 HW conversations, but those fighters underneath were much better than people expect.

Top 10 all time great. Easy.
Yea Ive been pretty upset that those arent getting more likes each time.
I'm pretty sure it was the same poster that would ask the "How good was ___" and each time that would be ur response.

"You're white. Help me!" - To the referee during his fight against Larry Holmes

Good enough to be an actor. I remember him in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. He played the gruff guy role at the beginning. When you have a mug like his Hollywood comes knockin' for a cameo.

One of my favorite movies of all time.

I remember when i first got the "Finkle is Einhorn" bit at about 8 or 9 years old after seeing the movie about 50 times.....i laughed to the point of delirium. Good times.

I think he was a decent fighter, who if he was around now in prime would be ranked top 10. Which is a great achievement!

Serious? Lol, which round was that?

Not sure. It's mentioned in his Boxrec biography, among other quotes. Pretty hilarious if true, and the guy's witty enough to pull it.

So I did a little research now and allegedly it was "Yea I can see you, you're white", after the referee asked him if he can see... That would make more sense, because "Help me" sure sounds as if he wants the ref to stop the fight... And the ref would be right in doing so after hearing those two words from a fighter.

I read it was either in round 8 or 13. However, I couldn't see any exchange between Cobb and the ref in those particular rounds.
