About the current state of world affairs. Includes all forms of fear from minor anxiety to major terror (so scared your brain is essentially a Mayor Giuliani soundbyte). Personally Im a little anxious and moderately annoyed but still enjoy life relatively free from thought of how much fuckery is going on. Part of it is a refusal to be. Am I wrong in this self induced ignorance is bliss mindset? Should I do something about it, and if so what?

Considering the goings on of today pale in comparison to events in history, not afraid at all.

Some guy at work today was really pissed off about forgetting the croutons for his salad. They were sitting at home on the kitchen counter apparently. "It was going to be perfect," he said.

I moved past fear, and irritation long ago.

I think we are all heading for a world of hurt in this nation, and that resistance is more than likely futile, but what else can you do.

I spend time on here trying to tell some truth, I am politically active. Not much else to do.

I guess I could work on my public speaking ability, and try and run for office, which I have been considering for a while now.

Not at all. There are some shitty thinga in the world but that is not exactly new and different.

Not enough to make a thread on sherdog about it.

Hey thanks for that btw, I appreciate it as Im not very politically inclined but still have an interest. I learn more from hearing different personal views than reading books and Im aware theres quite a few learned political buffs in this aptly named war room.

I think a person can only do so much. Somewhere a balanced approach lies.

I think older people with their work pensions/retirements in place (like Trump) need to become fully involved.

The ideological disease of Islam is the most threatening issue today by far. We'll deal with problems of climate change and economy. An ideological monster/curse that continues to spread/infiltrate with 7th century sensibilities threatens both the future and history (with rewriting and erasing) of the planet.

Good book that is worth reading. "A People's History of the Untied States". Howard Zinn

It has not been made easy for people to understand what is really going on right now, but looking at history, and not history as written by the victor's, is a good place to start.

I'm scared of two things, political correctness and it's correlation to silencing large groups of people through hate and shame.

Public land being taken away. People take it for granted and conservatives are striving more and more each year to get it. Once it's gone, it's gone forever. It would be a top 3 biggest travesty in American history. It passed in the house for fuck sakes. Wake up people.

I'm extremely worried..for many reasons

We'really fooled into worrying about the wrong things. Divide and qonquer so the establishment can keep the masses dosile. Everyday we're conditioned to think in a certain way, be it on either end of the spectrum.

Gays are getting married!!!! The next step is a gay president! And then the genocide of the "breeders". You should be afraid.

The world is moving in a better place. There is more peace worldwide than ever before. Disease is lower, hunger is lower, and life expectancy is higher. The quality of life of people in first world countries is pretty remarkable. There's always going to be those short sighted dummies that have no real concept of history, and believe the world is doomed because of the few terrible things they see on the news.
