I think that shill gets overused here. People accuse DC or Rogan to shill. No shit they are employees. I think by definition a shill needs to be independant in appearance. Perfect example is Shale. He is representing himself on his channel and afaik is no UFC employee, but it is obvious that he has side deals with the UFC. Or is hoping for business / employment with them. That's shilling. IDK how lucrative that is for Shale. If i had to guess i would say that shale gets paid around 100k per year for his shilling on his channel.

A shill was working tandem with the auctioneer. The shill would bid on something for the sole purpose of raising the bids to try to get people to bid even higher.

If the shill "won" the bid, he and the auctioneer would simply box the item up and try again in the next town.

The insiders are employess involved in the production that create accounts to write positive reviews in order to make the show or movie look good.
Professional Critics also get paid by Disney to write positive reviews.
This is why you never see anything Disney related on any website scored less than an 8.

The outsiders are in 3rd world countries hired to write reviews on IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, Reddit, Amazon, Yelp, etc.
Each shill typically has 5 or 6 accounts listed on each website.
The pay scale is very low for these employees.
