I know a lot of pseudo MMA fans who think they know something about MMA pretend Lesnar sucks, but in reality he was the strongest and most athletic UFC HW ever with the best top control at hw until the disease took the end of his prime.

True he couldn't take getting punched in the face even though his chin was good, but we've seen bums take Aspinall down, if Lesnar gets on top of him with a power double does Tom get up? Or does he get Frank Mir'ed at UFC 100? Or subbed from the top like Carwin? Brock was so strong when he secured position that nobody could do anything from the bottom.

Depends which Lesnar, but if you combined all aspects of Lesnar at his peak then he crushes Tom. His striking defense evolved a lot by the time he fought Hunt, it was actually very similar to Khabib's. And his top game of course from the Mir 2 fight. Aspinall got mauled by a fighter 30 lbs lighter than him, so imagine against Brock who is 30 lbs heavier and an elite grappler.

Tom could definitely win but he has to hope for like a Jorge Masvidal vs Askren type KO or like how Bobby Green somehow KOd Grant Dawson early etc.

Evolved Brock only lost to Cain who is a nightmare matchup that has the elite wrestling to deal with him, and by the time he lost to Overeem he was a shell of himself.

It's funny how everyone will default to Tom but this is like thinking Conor would KO Khabib. I was the biggest Conor fan out there but deep down in knew he was fooked in that matchup.

I don't know but I would love to see that fight, I don't care if Brock is 48, he looks incredible recently and UFC HW is soooooooo boring, its beyond boring and dull, we wouldn't even notice if the division was closed. Brock makes it fun

IDGAF what Anyone thinks.

Brock IS Now, and always has been, Capable of beating Tom or Any HW in the ufc at any time.

<mma4>

Agreed with this, a dangerous prospect for anyone. I expect Aspinall would pick him apart on the feet, Brock always had the big bull rush up his sleeve though.

Im pretty sure both Randy and Cain got back up from a Brock takedown. It’s different when you have the cage to get up and have great technique + years wrestling like Cain and Randy

Lol, a lot of fucking drugs going on in this thread. So because Brock looks good on PEDs wrestling at 48, he's going to beat Tom Apinall?

Get the fuck out of here. Brock never liked getting hit, he can't take a body shot and his piss would burn through the bottom of the cup. Tom is younger and is quite agile for a man his size, and he has a legitimate BJJ black belt. He has KO power, and it's not like Brock had good striking defense, lol.

Brock looks fantastic rn and I'd like to see him compete even at 48 but I was clearly talking about prime Brock, in the likely event he takes Aspinall down he could finish him.

Prime Brock was still a one-dimensional fighter who relied on brute strength and speed to overpower his opponents. When he couldn't do that, Brock looked very, very normal. Brock got tapped by Mir, he can get tapped by Tom.
