How does Jon Jones cut weight so easily?

Of course, they needs to stay in a certain class, even if it means chicken legs. lol
Bigger isn't better/stronger anyway so who currs.
Man, someone said the guy can't grow his legs then I gave the blueprint for leg growth.

Someone send that shit to Jon's coach so he can finally complete puberty and not listen to all these excuses.

Doesn't lift for size. Sheeeeeeeit.

It's just a whole lot easier to fight people with smaller, shorter frames. People keep talking about weight, that dude is 6'4 picking on little kids. Gus need to move up too.
did you decide after you posted that you wanted to edit and troll?

Lmao Jon jones is nowhere near a heavyweight fighter dude.

Sure, because he keeps his weight down. He got to 240 in a few months, 265 is no problem. Hell that dude could be 275 like reem if he really wants to.

But he doesn't want to, deal with that. Life is about choices and he's making a choice.

Yeah and I can be 300 pounds lol. Difference is guys like Stipe, Brock, and Bigfoot couldn't make 205 even if they tried their hardest. That's why jon's a true light heavyweight and why am I even responding seriously lol

He's the same size as Cain, 7lbs lighter than Reem. I just saw Reem is 247 and Werdum is about 238. lol

He can definitely fight at Heavyweight, IF HE WANTED TO. He doesn't want to.

Sure he could move up, but true heavyweights can't move down

He was the same size as Werdum, Reem and Cain a few months ago. He moved down, they could too.

They're shorter than him, you think they can't move down?

He actually has quite a big chest, people saying he isn't that big are kidding themselves.

I'll reference Paul Williams (former champion boxer) who was also very big for the divisions he fought in but comfortably made weight. Some guys just seem to be lighter than their size would suggest, maybe based on lighter bones? Jones does have skinny legs, which I am sure helps.

The weight limit for his division is 205 and he makes weight every time so he is a LHW - that's really all that matters.

He doesn't have a heavyweight frame. He is thin and long, no homo, with them chicken bone legs.

Just curious, I've been watching UFC 200 Pre-fight press conference and Jon Jones talks about Cormier's struggle to make weight and how easy it is for him.

First of all, I know Jon Jones Nut huggers get a bit sensitive... I would like to point out he is an AMAZING fighter.

He is extremely big in terms of height, reach and frame for a Light Heavyweight and would actually be fairly big if he moved to heavyweight for that division too.

How is he able to cut weight so easily?

Because he isn't cutting a huge amount of weight. He diets down to about 215-220 and then makes a water cut to 205, which by any standard is a light cut.

what heavyweight walks around at 225?

People just don't know how to train legs. You don't build leg size with 3x5.

Here's how it goes for strength AND size.

Squats 1x5-8
Leg Press 1x8-12
Leg Extensions 1x12-16

Increasing the reps for each exercise each session until the rep threshold is reached. Then add weight and start over. 2nd and 3rd sets have only enough rest to set up the weights.

The first set can be fast and explosive, this is your strength set. Rep tempo on the second and 3rd sets is slow and squeezing, all about the burn and pump. These are your growth sets.

After training your legs STRETCH YOUR QUADS while they are still pumped. 30-60 seconds, good time to work on your front splits. It will hurt but you will notice that you can stretch farther when the muscles are fatigued. Great thing to do for your flexibility.

You're legs will grow quickly like a motherfucker. That's how to make legs grow big, strong and flexible. Don't forget your groin.

Same thing for hamstrings:

Romanian Deadlift 5-8
Glute/Ham Raise 1x8-12
Leg Curls 1x12-16

STRETCH again.

There's a simple trick for calves. Some people think their calves can't grow, this is bullshit.

With calves you have to pause at the bottom for at least 5 seconds or your achilles tendon will take all of the load, it's a reflex. After 5 seconds, the muscle takes over. Most people, even if they don't bounce, their rep tempo is too quick for growth.

Your rep tempo on calf raises is 5 seconds lowering, 5 seconds at the bottom, explode up and 5 at the top.

Calf raises 3x10, nothing special. Just do the reps right so your tendons aren't taking the load. You will notice the difference immediately and want to quit.

You won't be able to walk for a week.

Yeah, I'm sure that none of the professional strength and conditioning coach that Jones has worked with for the past half decade since he started training at Jackson's a half decade ago have any idea about how to build up legs as well as you do.

Because he isn't a large lhw. He has a slight narrow frame hence the nickname Bones. When you're a natural ecto morph you can take off lbs fast and easy.

Probably because he is not really all that heavy. Remember it's spread out because he's tall and has long reach.

You do know guys like Ramage, Bonnar, Forrest were 240lbs plus right? Hell prime Wanderlei weights more than Jones.

That's because they got fat. They were all pretty much 225. Wand's weight fluctuated depending on his supplements. I'm not arguing Jones is huge, I'm saying he's a normal LHW.

If DC didnt fuck up so much in his old days for dieting and cutting. I dont think he would struggle as musch. Isnt he the one who almost died from a weight cut?

Jones is 225 Ibs, same as most LHW's.. he is not bigger than the others.. apart from maybe a few

Has anybody made a cocaine joke yet?

Dc is a fat fuck. Remember Henderson sent the dude chicken, he probably ate that shit too.
