How does frozen pizza still exist?

There are some good ones out there. Freschetta used to make a thin crust one that was fucking great... then of course they discontinued it (replaced it with the "brick-oven" kind)

I actually kind of like those small Red Baron pizzas lol
Red Baron - Rising Crust is one of my go-tos.

From grocery store frozen $5 pizza, I expect ultra efficient mass production pizza without a signature chef's fancy schmancy.

Since I got this bad boy I don’t even order pizza anymore, so frozen is no longer part of the equation. Home made dough, home made sauce, it’s worth the effort.

Motor city makes a fairly good za for frozen. Detroit style, so you have to like that. Just have to take it immediately out of that cooking tray when down so some grease gets out. Still, pretty solid for like 7.5 bucks

When single slices are $7 then a frozen pizza seems like a pretty good alternative.
Do pizza for real or not at all !

Even shitty dollar pizza is better than that

Exactly.

Really depends on where you’re at. Most pizza around me is not mind blowing anyway, so frozen, in comparison to those places, is not the worst when considering the trade offs to going out and getting said “real” pizza.

They are really good cooked on a smoker. We buy the plain cheese ones and do a topping bar. Throw it on a hot smoker and its pretty good. Smokers make the crust so much better than the oven

Is it just me or has it changed? Everytime I buy one it gets worse it seems. The other day I was doing a spontaneous grocery trip and saw this Piece of shit for $5 and thought why not, don't have to worry about supper tonight.

Absolute fucking trash. This is coming from a guy who will enjoy spam on toast if I'm craving it and I don't buy spam. The only half decent frozen pizza is Motor city pizza.
Giuseppe sucks

Get the small Casa Di Mama pizzas for $3 and your taste buds will be infinitely happier. Especially if you sprinkle parmesan on top before cooking

I got an Ooni. That shit is amazing.
My brother has the Ooni 16” propane and he loves it. I went with the wood version since I have the space and I don’t mind the extra time to bring it to temp.

we have a company here in Quebec who only make frozen pizza.

and they are absolutely delicious.

A few are good most are trash.

A couple local brands make good ones around here.

It's true. I don't think I've ever had a frozen pizza that I thought was "good" or would buy again. Absolute garbage.

Much rather stop and grab some legit pizzeria pizza. Wife make's a pretty good homemade one as well.

I cant remember the brand but there was one we got that was thin crust, garlic/white sauce, red onions, sausage, mushrooms and cherry tomato slices. Put it on the Traegor and ate the whole damn thing. Glad we bought a couple. I think we got it at Sams Club.

Bought mine with the propane attachment, used twice, then went back to lump charcoal and hardwood.

We buy a dough ball from a local Long Island pizza joint, cut it in 3rds and proof some more, then parbake the crusts ahead of time, makes tossing it easier....sauce/ topping bar, 90sec in the oven and pie is ready.

Perfect patio dinner night.

Papa Murphys is still good ..... that's not frozen tho.

Screaming , Diogarndo, Corner Pub - decent last minute frozen pizzas especially the screaming - Detroit style is good.
