How does Chandler vs Islam go?

Alex was not a champion though.

It is what it is. Champion versus champion sells better and there's a precedent. If Islam beats Arman and breaks the record at LW, I'm okay with him fighting Leon directly. Would sell better, no?
If he now just fights Arman and manages to beat him, then he will claim greatness after beating one number one contender and two wins against a guy from lower weight class. He didn’t even have a number one contender fight before the title. This is exactly what I call a poor resume and a manufactured record.
In this case it does not make any difference if he goes up as a “champion” or vacates in terms of PPV sales.

He can prove himself at LW by really defending against top ranked LWs or at WW by climbing up the rankings and beating top ranked guys there.
He is not undefeated, never bleed like Kabib, so he doesn’t even have that to back up his resume. He needs to fight top guys to be respected.
Fan girls will be calling me a hater now and claim that he is better than anyone else just by eyeballing the possible opponents.

I know this is probably not going to happen (thank god) but if it does, how does it go? Do you see it as a mis-match? an easy win for Islam or can it be competitive at times?

Chandler is super dangerous in the first round but I doubt he will try that against Islam and get risked taken down. I wonder if he will try to wrestle Islam given how he hyped up wrestling vs sambo in the call out tweet.

How do you think it goes? Is it a bigger mismatch than Dustin vs Islam was thought to be?
Dustin is a much better fighter than chandler wtf lol

A few years ago this would have been a tough fight for Makachev. Today he probably clips him and finishes Chandler on the ground.

I don't get the hate for Chandler. He went from a boring fighter to all action in the UFC. He has fought top guys and would probably have a better record if he went back to his boring wrestling style. I think he is currently one of the most entertaining fighters
Chandler’s stint in Bellator was just the same as it is in the UFC.

He was never boring.

Good first round by Chandler and then getting dominated and choked out soon after. That's how Mike's fights tend to go.

Mak via anything he wants like 1st or second round sub

No lightweights are fkn w/Islam right now
I think Arman is the only one that can hang with his grappling tbh.
Arman is better than people give him credit for.

They've both leveled up since their first fight which was very close, so I'd be interested in seeing that fight tbf sir.

Actually I'm pretty sure Dustin was the first fighter to submit Chandler if I'm not mistaken sir.
