Pressure is an interesting force in our lives. Some of us have learned to use the pressure that is thrust upon our lives in the form jobs problems, health problems, relationship problems as a tool. Others choose to rebel against pressures and largely work against it. Some also try and use pressure but fail. There are two things (for our focus here) in nature which are created by pressure.

The Volcano

And the Diamond

Pressure affects all of us. If we choose to use it as a tool to grow we can become a diamond in the rough. If we rebel against it or choose to not be patient we might very well become a volcano in the rough. Allow the pressure of adversity to mold you into something people will want to run too rather than run from.

Depending on how import it is i get all confused and panic and tend to fuck shit up

Retired 20 years ago. Haven't smoked since.

I handle it well. Unless it's pressure applied directly to my testicles, in which case I do not handle it very well. No indeed.

DataBreach threads make me think there's a sequel to Dianetics in the works.

Punch babies and punt scrunts. Very therapeutic. As long as you don't get caught.

I have a way of dealing with stress that is definitely better exemplified by the volcano.

Definitely.

LOL. Thanks that made me laugh. I actually have 2 books for sale on Amazon and neither is self help or new age. These threads are just me blowing off steam (no volcano pun intended) getting my ideas out there for free. I enjoy conversations and to consider other people's perspectives.

Free ideas are where it's at. And I always enjoy an unexpected thread.

I have to go with volcano for me, I tend to lose patience at times. Unless gall stones are pressure made biological diamonds, but I think probably they are not.

Same way I did in highschool

I just deal with it and strangle a hooker later that night.

I just don't give a shit. Honestly, I'm not trying to be funny but work/life stuff just doesn't really weigh on me like it does some people. I really just don't care. It is what it is.

I get really, really angry.Or I overwhelm the problem with apathy. Depends on the day. High probability my cause of death will be mssive heart attack.

I double down and push through. Once your eyeballs deep all you can do is swim.

Maybe a good thread start. But can you detail how we implement the analogy in real life? I'm interested.
