How do you go from fighting a 50 ranked fighter to the #2 or 3 ranked WW? Kasamat vs Edwards

But yeah I hope Edwards just dominates canzat 50-43 just to prove he isn’t shit and should earn his way to the top like most fighters had to.

I often get triggered by rankings and all that but the I slap myself in the face in my mind, because it's known that UFC does what they think generates money. It is what it is. It's been long established that UFC is mostly entertainment and it is not following strict rules of sports.

I dont even know who Kasamat beat to deserve the Edwards fight and now he is getting the #2 or 3 fighter in the UFC in Edwards. Magny was calling him out about 1 or 2 months before he got the Edwards match and then the UFC, Dana and Kasamat have the audacity to say he is a ducked fighter when in fact Magny has been calling him out. This dude is having the easiest path to a title shot ever. Easier than Conors.
Why does everyone have to obsessively talk about Conor? He fought and won 6 times in the UFC before fighting Aldo. Including beating Holloway, Poitier and Mendes for interim. There were ppl who had much, much easier paths to the title. Aldo got a shot recently coming off a close loss
Get Conors balls out of your asshole. He doesn’t need to be brought up in every single thread you ever create or comment in. Grow the fuck up

She was beating rondas stable.

To be fair, everybody was. The Four Horsewomen bullshit started after their TUF season, the three that aren't Ronda went 2-10 from there. Their two victories being 4-4 Peggy Morgan and 0-3 Chandra Engel.

Don't you follow the sport?
You seem to be active on sherdog.
Leon was taken off the rankings long ago for being a whiny inactive bitch.
There was a huge commotion here about it, between everybody making fun of him and his bitch ass apologists.

by performing the way Khamzat been perfoming. silly question. most guys don't finish their opponents in a spectacular fashion, without taking any damage. when they do, they'll be fast tracked as well

striking while the iron's hot, this fight makes or breaks Khamzat

And in two weight classes as well

This.

Khamzat is talented, but still, it shows the UFC is not a legit sport. You can’t just go to the NBA finals because you’re exciting and show great potential.
He's just going to the NBA playoffs, not the finals. If it were the finals, he'd be fighting for the belt.:D

Why do you ask questions you already know the answers to?

He gained a lot of popularity really quick by winning fights in an exciting way in quick succession. The company, who’s job it is it make money, noticed this popularity and is capitalizing on it.

This has been the norm in the UFC ever since Conor got super popular. They see a popular fighter and fast track him.

And to add, while he represents Sweden, he’s got that chinstrap beard, Eastern European, Russian wrestler image like Khabib, another popular fighter, so they are piggy backing on that.

And also he’s Muslim, right? And UFC had been pushing hard in Dubai and other Muslim rich countries. It’s marketing for the UFC. Simple.

Fighting Edwards is not an easy road to the title shot. This is going to blow up in the Ufc's face. After losing to Edwards Khamzat cant go back to fighting unknowns. Hes going to end up fighting the top10-15 and start losing.

Because of the Dennis Siver fight, that was it, they ignore that Conor came into that fight at 145lbs on the dot, using that fight to not only show he can make championship weight but perform at the weight as well. It goes a long way for a promotion when fighters take the initiative to prove they can lose the extra lb.
Yeah ok! Conor is the only LW that gets to consistently fight other LW's at 170 because he doesn't want to cut weight.
