Subpar shit, probably the worst I've seen since the dark days of the 90s & early 2000s. There's maybe a couple decent fights per card and despite all the talent on the roster these days the matchmakers keep giving us shit fights that no one wants to watch such as Pennington vs. Holm rematch and the upcoming Ribas vs. Dern rematch. If it weren't for the Sherdog PBP's I'd probably watch like 5-6 cards a year tops.
I feel like you held back here sir lol.

Obviously, fighter pay leaves a lot to be desired.

From a fight stand point, I'd say it's as good as it's ever been. You get a wide array of fights from technical chess matches to rock em sock em robots. There are so many blended styles now that are successful. Like Dominick Cruz says, "fighting looks different for everyone" and it's fun to watch.

Not to mention you have a guy starching people and then bumming squares off reporters at the post fight press conference.
UFC pays way more than other mma orgs. Weird, never enough for you socialists

Definitely feel this has been the weakest year so far in the 2020's, rash of injuries and being spread thin despite the large roster hasnt helped matters on top of suspect matchmaking.
Theres still definitely been a few really good ppv's and fight nights its just been more spread out than usual.

Some fights are good, some are not. Same as always. Besides the rankings being pointless, belts being generally devalued and there being far too many shitbums on the roster, I'm still just here for the scraps and the blood.

-It’s good but it’s been better.

Too many cards and not enough good match ups to fill them.

It's been horrible ever since the ESPN deal.

The only reason I occasionally watch anymore is because Poatan is awesome.

I kinda like O'Malley, black beast, and Strickland but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to watch just for those guys.

The Jones/Stipe fight is ridiculous. Reminds me of when Trevor Berbick beat up an old brain-damaged Muhammad Ali.

Wmma doesn't interest me, nor do most of the divisions now. I didn't even think they should have divisions below 145 for men. Watching tiny men fight isn't fun.

I used to get up at 4 am on Sundays to watch cards. Now I get up whenever, watch fights and skip everything in between. After that I come to Sherdog to see who said what to whom. Make of it what you will, but I am still watching.

It fell off. They had a chance to really break this sport through into the mainstream during the pandemic. Instead they chose the penny wise, pound foolish approach and stagnated everything with watered down cards.

It's terrible and basically a lost cause for me at this point.

Haven't watched a fight live in a couple of years and don't even bother trying to find post-fight highlights or gifs anymore. No idea who the champions are of many of the divisions.

Hard to believe it got to this point but it is what it is.

It's good but I can't help but feel like the UFC would be better if they had some serious competition. PFL and ONE seem way further behind the UFC than they did a year or two ago and tbh its not good for the sport. The sport feel's better when there is a strong second org imo.

It's kind of double edge sword for the UFC and Fans. Media partners want x amount shows and pay x amount for that. Remember MMA is still niche sport for the most part and can't just name its demands to these media outlets. They don't have the pull of the major sports.

With all these shows there is no way they can all be appealing to all fans all the time. Wasn't long ago fans on here were clamoring for more events. Side effect it also allows the UFC to keep a large roster and keep some good fighters away from competitors from a business standpoint.

Football(both kinds) is probably the only sports fans watch as many games as they can cause there is a limited amount. Otherwise most major sports fans aren't watching all 162 baseball games or the 82 NBA games of your favorite team or teams.

So do we get some water down events, sure. But as fans we shouldn't feel like every event is a must see attraction when they have so many of them or hold the UFC to an unattainable standard.
