International How do 'Muricans cope with the binary contradiction of supposedly supporting freedom in Ukraine yet doing the same thing to Venezuela?

Yeah hillarious. Poutine being the bad guy when you have Netanyahu and his dog Trump essentially bombing and invading foreign nations left and right.

And don‘t talk about Europe, bunch of cucks. „ yeah not sure this was the proper way to do this but in the end Maduro is very mean“. Fuck off.

I agree.

This elevates Putin and Russia.

While Putin is still a piece of shit, Trump is clearly in the same bracket - an extremist, running an extremist nation.

We can mince words for what happened but you're 100% correct in that it was an invasion.

I ask once again… was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor an invasion of the United States then?

By all of your definitions, apparently it was.

I actually think Putin‘s attack on Ukraine is 100x more warranted than Trump‘s attack on Venezuela. Ukraine is home of the Sebastopol fleet, the area between Crimea and Russia is largely Russian in population and Kiev was flirting a bit too much with Nato. You may find these reasons not sufficient to invade, I don‘t condone it. But that thing is Venezuela is #1 bullshit. I think literally nobody outside of USA actually doesn‘t see that this was a W-esque coup motivated by natural ressources.

I think it has less to do with natural resources and more to do with curbing Chinese/Russian/Iranian influence over there and their access to said resources. So I guess in a way it is slightly similar to Ukraine in that it's about regime change to our benefit, although due to the scale involved Ukraine is much, much worse.

Yes it was. Absolutely.

Legally, "invasion" generally means a hostile, forcible entry into territory by an organized armed force, often with intent to conquer or plunder, but it can also refer to significant unwelcome incursions by non-state actors like pirates or gangs if they have the capacity for hostility, differentiating from simple trespass or immigration. While the term is often used metaphorically for "invasion of privacy" (intrusion on rights) or rights, its core legal meaning, especially in constitutional law, requires both physical entry (ingress) and hostile intent (enmity). Ok now look up the definition of a military raid

This can’t be both an invasion and a raid lol

which definition do you think is more accurate?

Remember the objective was to get Maduro and then leave.

What do you mean "cope"? Americans are the most easily brainwashed people on the planet Earth and they think they are always on a good side of a coin. 2 days ago they were unable to show Venezuela on the map and now they can tell you the exact reason behind kidnapping arresting illegal president of another country totalitarian regime. Well, there are plenty of reasons actually: its either because he is a communist, a narcobaron, a dictator, a terrorist responsible for 9/11 or all together.

Lets take a quick look at the biggest enemy of all US people in 2026:
- guy becomes president in 2013
- gets turbo fucked by American embargos
- said embargos lead to shortages and protests which for some reason are widely covered by the American medias
- Americans fund militias and cartels in the area
- the guy secures his party rule to fight back Americans politics intervention
- the guy gets called a "narco-dictator" by opposition leader who is outspoken about a need for "capitalist armed revolution"
- some woman receives the Nobel peace prize for running a campaign about Americans securing more oil
- the guy gets kidnapped

In first 2 hours all the footage with missile strikes and explosions was removed and every known social media took overwhelmingly positive stance on the situation.
9gag makes fun of Maduro and of course it wouldnt be propaganda 9gag if it was not about Russians in the end of the day:

Reddit has became pro-meme about the situation, huge no-politics subs became polarized, half-dead subs having abnormally high amount of upvotes with few comments:

/r/warcraft3/comments/1q3r4s6/

The only disagreement might be personal hate toward Trump and his "cult", despite the fact such actions require congress approval which is about 500+ most powerful people from both parties equally represented.

What about Venezuelans? According to random comments elsewhere, they are happy they were invaded with some peaceful bombings on their heads and regime has fallen. Now they gonna live in a better place with the help of US just like other countries which got help from US like Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Yugoslavia and other places which became fancy.

You are asking how its possible to be schizophrenic and support both Ukraine and Venezuela cases. I'll tell you, you just follow your favorite medias and dont ask any questions.
Invading one country could be good if invaders are good and victims are bad.
Invading another country could be bad because invaders are pure evil.
Simple as that.

Except Trump has explicitly stated US will run Venezuela for the foreseeable future either directly or by proxy. What definition do you think that fits?

Trump could have made it far more vague but he's an idiot and he's playing with his poker hand face up.

Yes obviously the Venezuela op was extremely surgical. But it could degenerate into something hideous as it always does when USA bless a country with freedom.

Rubio walked that back. Said it’s in the table but not what you’re seeing now.

Of course if Trump did THAT, with boots on the ground controlling territory within Venezuela, that would unquestionably be an invasion, no doubt.

I don’t think he and Rubio were on the same page initially with their statements.

Bro think r/pics is no politics sub while 8 out of 10 of their posts are about Trump and Elon lmaooooo
Anytime i look at Reddit homepage without logging my account, all i see is Trump this Trump that. It's the biggest propaganda machine in the web.
If you can't even realize it just think how much you are brainwashed to this point
Fun fact: In 2026 many redditors think slavery only existed in Americas and Europe and only blacks were slaves.

''You are asking how its possible to be schizophrenic and support both Ukraine and Venezuela cases. I'll tell you, you just follow your favorite medias and dont ask any questions.''
This is literally every human in the world, for example most muslims support Russia while crying about Palestine.

You can support Ukraine while defending the US and Israel or support Russia while being pro palestine because in reality it's not about being against war or invasion, it's about supporting your allies.

Like, sending billions and billions of dollars to Ukraine over a period of years and having all these complex negotiations about an unjust invasion...then doing basically the same thing to Venezuela.

I know Ukrainians are Europeans so I suppose their rights count more than South Americans in the matrix. Other than that what is the rational justification if any.

Lmao also at Zelensky...gone silent son.
Cowardly Kier Starmer..."I need more facts before I can say if its against international law".
European Union - suddenly these cuck bitches lost their voices also.

I hope the FSB is paying you in dollars, tovarisch. The ruble isn't what it used to be.

Nothing will ever elevate Russia. It's a shithole of a Mafia state, populated by drunks, rapists and thieves. The high point in it's worthless existence was being used as cannon-fodder by it's betters during the Second Great Unpleasantness. It was all downhill from there.

So standing up against illegal Tyrrany and for international law makes one a 'tovarisch'?

All I can say is whatever deluded world view you hold isnt worth the toilet paper it could be written on.

Thinking, "international law" actually matters makes you retarded. The Russians have committed nuclear terrorism, chemical warfare and murder in the UK. The only punishment they received was a bunch of embassy staff getting kicked out.

Laws only matter when they can be enforced. No one's going to enforce anything on America because it's simply too strong.

I guess it is because Venezuela is a dictatorship?

I don't fully agree with Trump getting into Venezuela like that but fuck Maduro.

We are a Nation propagandized by the donor class to focus our attention on partisan division between the capitalist party...and the other capitalist party. This partisan division is so deep people would rather scream for isolationism out of one side of their mouths while praising the invasion of a Sovereign Nation to capture a political enemy, and decree to overtake that Nation's Government if the donor class has their mouthpieces tell them that no, on THIS case we need to engage in foreign conflicts. Well, this one case and maybe 3 more right after it.

Meanwhile the other capitalist party pretends to care and muddies the water with legalese.

"Hey, I mean, you didnt even ask permission to invade that Country!!"

And if it's not already obvious playing legalese in the face of authoritarianis who dismiss international and domestic law is just a cool way to surrender without looking like you're surrendering, put forth by politicians who are more concerned with being something than they are with doing something.

Tell that to Vietnam and Afghanistan.

The US is strong on paper, and we could bomb everyone into oblivion, but when it comes to occupying allegedly weak foreign Nations we have a pretty terrible track record.
