How do I get my 10 year old brother into UFC/MMA?

Take him to a reputable gym, put him in classes to train.. and take some too. Never grasped how people are so emotional and opinionated about a sport, but dont train, compete, etc.. in it. Even for hobby and health. Avg hardcore sports fan in any other sport, participate or have participated in the sport they are passionate about.. even if for casual hobby and for fun. So if you want your brother to find a passion and have knowledge in what he speaks when giving opinion on the sport, then best and simplest way is to immerse him in all Combat Sports/Martial Arts and Training. My little Brother and my Daughter both, became fans after coming to the gym with me and training.

Honestly watching all the PrideFC events in order is probably the best way to get someone into MMA
Yeah, I agree. They're super entertaining. And they show off the event ring girls a lot, so if it's a guy, that will get their attention LOL.

Show him fights. If he doesn't like them then he just doesn't like them.

Test his eye poke resilience before encouraging him to embark on a career in the worst professional sport in terms of dollars for damage and effort.

Strategically you should push him towards the sport which requires the most expensive equipment you can afford. It reduces the playing field. Mma can be trained anywhere there are people, so anywhere labour is cheap will be better for training(at least initially).
Hockey and golf?

I see, he is your brother and not your son.

My kid (a bit older than your brother) has been grappling since 4 years old. He is very active and is skilled in all kinds of sports, but sadly on rainy days Fortnite is on the list too. I’m happy that he is regularly competing in both gi and no-gi jiujitsu, doing really well in his age and weight class, but the last thing I want is him doing MMA.
Only path I am pushing him is to get a university degree. That’s the most proven and safest way to a good life and the grandparents will respect and support it too.

There's no money in MMA, let him go play football.

how can I get him interested? If you have kids how do you get them interested? (if you want them interested) I didn't get interested until Early adult hood (2010), because I wasn't exposed to it earlier. Fights are usually happening past his bed time and I don't live with him.

If he likes reality shows, have him watch the 1st season of The Ultimate Fighter.

Then show him the fights of the more prominent people from the show.

Why would you try to get him into MMA? Do you hate him.. Get CTE, make no money and have a broken body by the age of 40.

Reading some of your other comments.. You seem like a selfish douche that cares very little for this kid.
Actually about 20 years before my younger brother was born, my father stabbed my mom's boy friend and beat my mom into a short coma. my father was addicted to crack. This moment ruined the lives my older siblings who were where more present than my 3 year old self. My older brother basically is now insane and a drug addict himself, my mother raised me my whole life. My father was completely estranged to me my entire adult life. I was prepared to go the rest of my life without ever speaking to him again, but when I found out he had a son I choose to mend that relationship with my father, despite what he did to my mother and siblings, So my younger brother always knows he has me, regardless. I care very much about my brother I put behind a life long grudge for it. My brother, the older one, is completely lost to a life of drugs and complete disarray I haven't spoken to him.... Well since before my younger brother was born. About 15 years ago. I know how important it is for young men to have good role models so I make my self available for this reason.

Do you train yourself? If you don't then that is the first step, combat sports are not like other sports so you need to show him you can handle it as regardless of his attributes that you describe, he's still gonna have to get humbled - that can break people who hate losing. Beyond that, he's gonna be his own person and whilst you can lead a horse to water, you can't make it drink but by inspiring him rather than pushing him then you might have a chance.

Upload a video of you performing a perfect spinning elbow to his face when he's eating a hot dog, and smile at the camera while saying ' just bleed......'

That’s a sad one 😔
But great that you are there for him now.

Moving forward is all you can do, there's no need to be hung up on the past it's ancient history, but the point I really wanted to make is that there is no obligations or expectations for me to be a part of his life I completely volunteer to do so, it's not asked of me or thrust upon me, it was a responsibility I sought out and maintain myself.

punch him in the face and ask him if he likes that, if he does, then he'll be a killer in the ring...if not, then there's other sports he can play
