How did you score Gamrot vs Tsarukyan?

Is it or is not fucking damage based scoring? Why did they not give Arman round 4?
 
There's no world where you can justify the 4th for Gamrot based on the newer set of unified rules. This is what an actual robbery looks like. Felder, Bisping, and Fitzgerald are all complete morons.

Here are the rules

Striking
Grappling
Aggression
Octagon Control

in that order

What does this mean? It means that you only begin evaluating grappling success such as takedowns, submission attempts, and control time if the striking was even (gnp is considered striking, so that's not included in the grappling category). Tsarukyan landed three times as many significant strikes as Gamrot in the 4th and also had a knockdown off a flush spinning backfist. That's not close to even. Gamrot getting a bit of control time and briefly fishing for a submission without any damage on the ground doesn't negate Arman's success on the feet.

I didn't have a dog in this fight, but that's a horseshit result.

Agree on everything but the score, i had Arman winning 3-2.

Great fight either way, it feels unjust that one guy had to walk away from this with an L on his record, because they were both incredible in every aspect.
 
Not a robbery by any means. Holly Holm would've loved these judges though...
 
It was a very close fight as in most of the rounds were close, but from what I could see Arman won most of them. Personally I had it 4-1 Arman, but I could see 3-2 as well so despite it being close I do see it as a robbery which is very unfortunate for Arman.

Either way I guess I didn't know Gamrot was this good. What a terrific match-up. LW is so damn heavy

That was such a high level, high IQ fight. Some of the best grappling I've seen since Maia/Shields. Still, Arman cheated numerous times, and I thought Gamrot's punches late were more damaging than the kicks those last few rounds and Arman got taken down and controlled in segments of those last two rounds.
 
I had it 2-2 after rd 4 and 3-2 Arman at the end.

Arman seemed to be the more effective striker in 1,2,5. Gamrot’s jab and grappling did become more of a factor in 3,4,5 tbf. Arman was busted up by the end of rd 4.

It was a close fight that I might rewatch to enjoy, not score.
 
Poor bugger's couch mustn't have been facing the right way.
 
It wasn't a robbery but neither was it a 'clear 3-2 win' for Gamrot... Rounds 1 and 2 were clearly Tsarukyan's, rounds 3-5 were all very competitive.

Really I'm just surprised all the judges scored it the same, was definitely expecting a split dec. for Tsarukyan.
