DC fought very conservatively.

However, that was a fight I wanted to see if Silva had a full camp. Too late now
 
DC allowed him to survive.

Daniel could have pounded him out or at least flurried to bring about a tko stoppage pretty much at his discretion but he didn't seem to want to hurt Anderson (who helped D.C. Get a payday by stepping up to take the fight on short notice).

-part respect

- part Anderson having excellent defense off his back. (Seriously nobody ever hurt him on the ground, he is a goddamn ninja off his back, takes no damage)

-part coasting to an easy victory without any real reason to take risks

-part Andy not putting DC in any real danger that would make him feel like "I need to get this guy out of here before he hurts me".

DC took minimal risk. Anderson is still dangerous standing as the kick to the body that hurt DC shows. Attempting heavier GnP can also get you caught in a sub. DC fought to a safe and relatively easy decision.
 
It was like an exhibition match, DC took it easy on him.

Would be a huge dick move on DC's part if he went in there and brutalised a 41 year old fighting above his weight class on 2 days notice just so DC can get an opponent.
 
He fought safe. but didnt want to show disrespect to Andy who basically on 2 days notice got off the couch and a way wayyyyy out of prime Andy
 
anderson silva is anderson fucking silva .. the man is a good fucking fighter, i dont know why anyone would ever be surprised at his abilities .

Anderson didn't take DC to anything.He just survived because DC is a gentleman.
