How come Mir vs Schaub hasn't happened yet?

Yea its actually kinda surprising. A couple years ago when Schaub was doing his retirement tour fighting guys waaaaay past their prime I'm sure Schaub tried to get the Mir fight.

it's a timing thing. Mir is at the twilight of his career, fighting less and less and less frequently. Schaub is still young and can take fights whenever.

Pretty sure I recall that fight being pretty close to happening a few years back, I think both guys verbally agreed.

I think Schaub would have taken it, but sometimes Mir has good striking and we all know the story of Schaub's chin.
