Thats really classy bud,hey i thought you were goin on vacation?!??!
1. He saved 3 cards, not 2. Cole Miller pulled out and he agreed to fight Brandao.
2. He is now in a position where he can 'promote' without needing the assistance of the UFC. In any other sport this would be regarded as a good thing by the organisation's hierarchy.
3. He skipped a press conference to focus on training, it's not like he said fuck that I'm on vacation. Punishing an athlete for wanting to improve and therefore be of more value in the long term to the company makes very little business sense.
Conor is ONLY valuable when he promotes. That's how he became the highest paid fighter in the UFC!
And you know them all do you, or are you just being stupid?Didn't read but the answer is; majority of them are fucking stupid.
Yes, everybody knows he doesn't need to do it that much anymore but the people he signed with.Conor has done so much promotion now that he doesnt need to do it that much anymore. Everyone knows allready. Just tweeting shakes up the whole fucking game now. He lost a fight anyway so him constantly on tv would seem a bit hollow now anyway. I look foward to the fight,he sold me,even if id rather see him fight edgar or even aldo,i must confess i will want to see what happens in this rematch. The casuals only need a little this time i believe, not alot. I dont think it needs to come at the expense of the training he feels he needs to have.
Excuses... Learn to accept when your boy makes a mistake. When Machida lost the belt, i didn't make excuses. The better fighter won. When Machida refused to step up a second time with Jones, i understood why he did it, but later he complained about not getting a title shot. He was wrong, if he wanted a second title shot, he should have stepped up to Jones. He didn't because he knew he needed a full camp, otherwise he would get owned by Jones. Why lose a great fight because one guy wants to revenge hes loss and wants to do less media?
UFC and Dana always say Conor has saved their asses numerous times and has stepped up when most fighters wouldn't have!
UFC are not losing face here, they have a fighter like Conor whos helped them out numerous times and all they had to say was this is a special case because he done so much for us and other fighters should learn from it. A good relationship should work for both parties.
Plus Conor was willing to appear in New York and face Nate face to face. There is know legitimate reason why this fight should be cancelled. This just the UFC saying no to Conor showing whos boss.
And you know them all do you, or are you just being stupid?
that's what you fail to realise. And he was still going to promote. He didn't want to do a flight to Vegas during his training regime. That is all. He did not say he would do no media. And furthermore, having done more media than anyone in the last 8 months, his star is so big right now, he doesn't need to do that sort of media he used to to attract attention to an event. Others may need to because they're not as big as he is.
The only thing you can be critical of him on imo is the fact there was a commercial to film, which is really important. But even then, you could surely have filmed in New York.
Thats what I thought.I know them all.
No, he just doesn't want to face Diaz outside the cage because he can't say shit to him . . .You made some good points in here, I think a lot of this has to do with his ego and also the fact that he badly wants to get the loss back.
