hmmm probably GGG. Just a little to big i think
he arguably lost to castillo in 2002.....Prime Floyd was as close to invincible as a boxer gets. Anyone saying Floyd gets stopped is just showing bias. The guy barely lost a round until he was close to 40.
Well, that proves it then. Golovkin would knock him out easily because he was in a competitive fight 14 years ago.he arguably lost to castillo in 2002.....
Floyd has fought bigger men. The current Mw champ, the former MW champ and a former MW title holder too.
Its stupid to think a guy who barely gets hit clean in his whole career suddenly gets battered around by the flavor of the week because he's 3 or 4 pounds heavier than some other guys he fought.
Floyd is too small and not enough of a puncher to stop GGG, who can take a good shot from actual middleweights.
Maybe 2012 Floyd wins a close UD, but now no way he wins.
Thanks.Your obsession with Mayweather is disturbing.
He's retired. But no, he wouldn't "get his ass kicked." Floyd doesn't get his ass kicked. Like I said, there is 0 evidence to support the idea that Floyd suddenly forgets how to slip punches because he's fighting Golovkin. He'd get his ass kicked, but he's smart enough to not fight him.
Right. Thats all true. Now him and all his fanboys can say he'd easily beat GGG....but Floyd is retired, and wouldn't fight him anyway cause he's a nobody who hasn't proved himself yet.
You're an idiot. You have no idea what you're talking about. Hype job my ass. It's weird how guys like you can't see what a hype job he is. Floyd is a genius business man, that is for sure.
lol So thats been the key to beating Mayweather all these years? Hitting hard? If only someone had told Canelo, Cotto, Pac etc that, then he wouldn't be undefeated today. You know what I'd do? I'd hit him right in the nose and drive that nose bone right into his brain!Exactly....GGG hits way too hard for Floyd.
Floyd doesn't really "run around the ring." Admit it, saturday was the first time you've watched boxing. And running around the ring trying to dodge punches wouldn't last as long as it usually does...he'd get caught and ko'd way faster than his fans think.
I agree with this.
Everyone who backs Golovkin in this hypothetical matchup does so with the knowledge that Floyd would go into the ring the much smaller man. Floyd isn't a 154lber, despite holding belts there. Having a middleweight champion beat a welterweight champion really doesn't prove much of anything, and it's a fight that doesn't make sense except only from the perspective of wanting to see Mayweather lose and stack the odds against him.
Thanks.

I dont know who would win, probably May, but if the even slower Maidana can hit May, GGG can.I'm not a Floyd fan and even I think Floyd will outbox GGG quite easily. GGG is too slow and I can see Floyd throwing counters all night long
Pathetic openings like this don't improve your argument.Relax, he's your personal Jesus, like Conor is mine....I get it.
Almost everyone has Floyd in their top 20. Floyd's resume is studded with HOFers, P4Pers and champions. The thing is, if Floyd were as good as you say, he'd be a top 20 all time great, but almost nobody puts him there, and he sure as hell is not a top ten all time great. He ducked too many fighters in their prime...to be the best, you have to fight the best at their peak. He simply did not.
Right, he didn't just fight anyone. He waited until guys had a great performance. He rarely fought guys who didn't look great in their previous fight. Thats why there was always buzz for his fights. But it was very smart business on his part, I'll give him that.
Golovkin is a lot more textbook that Maidana though. Maidana had some success because he fights with an awkward rough style. Thats not Golovkin.I dont know who would win, probably May, but if the even slower Maidana can hit May, GGG can.
If GGG were that much bigger, I'd agree, but he isn't. They could find a reasonable weight for both of them.
But even in a theoretical match up six 6 years ago, Floyd would never have agreed to it.
Yea, Michael Jordan was all hype too. It's weird how guys like you can't see what a hype job he is.
In one of his last two fights, Floyd pretty much shut out the best offensive fighter of the past 25 years. Forgive me for not believing that Floyd suddenly gets KO'd because its a guy who weighs a couple of pounds more than the biggest guys he fought. It took Golovkin 12 rounds to dispatch Martin Murray but suddenly he's going to have Floyd sleeping? Come on now. He's about 20 pounds heavier on fight night. That's a pretty significant size difference.
Anyway, at this point Golovkin would most likely stop Floyd. Floyd at his absolute peak would have a real chance.
I hate to agree with Seano
I still think he hits him. I could see May schooling him making him miss and i could also see GGG landing one of his illegal over hand rights to the top of the head sending May into lala land. Id Take FMJ though.Golovkin is a lot more textbook that Maidana though. Maidana had some success because he fights with an awkward rough style. Thats not Golovkin.
