He is reported as having assaulted three people. He was also throwing a tantrum and dropping racist slurs.

There might be footage from the restaurant. But if he assaulted three people initiating then he should be cut and imprisoned.

It looked to me like he was causing a huge scene, obviously had done something for them to want him out of there before the video starts, and eventually goaded the fat guy into going at him.

BJ was not even fighting back when he got hit. He was not taking the guy serious but in all fairness he should have walked away too or choked the guy out. If the fat guy would have came after perry like the guy came after BJ I would not mind but that was hardly a threatening situation for Perry. Perry had already hit two different persons on that night one was a woman and the other employee but I guess neither of those hits were suckerpunches either right

Allegedly. Like I said before; zero proof of that happening. You're just going off the words of a drunken bystander who probably couldn't even process what's going on in a combat situation, much like yourself. It's called situational awareness. BJ had none. Mike had at least enough sense not to get himself clobbered in a drunken dispute. You must live in a fantasy world if you think you can just magically choke people out with no repercussions. From the video we have he's simply a dumb asshole, as was the old man.

At worst they both agreed to fight when Perry told him he'd knock the old man out and he said do it and moved to restrain him, and at best Perry defended himself considering the old man attacked first. None of which are illegal, so he's not actually wrong to be telling everybody to call the cops if they've got a problem with it as he did nothing wrong and gets to tell his side of the story too instead of getting a knock on his door saying he's under arrest from a one sided version. Cops could be waiting on more info to issue an arrest warrant, but they didn't arrest him on the spot for precisely all of the forementioned. Not a good look, but not illegal.

We don't have the rest of the story of anything before that other than what the video alleges and the stories put out in the reports, which sorry, but that is ALWAYS suspect. Videos always start and stop at the most opportune moments for whoever wants the story out. Whoever video taped it obviously couldn't have started recording at the "he touched me" part that apparently set things off earlier unless they were already recording before hand (cause they were yelling hold me back bro or something and knew to start?), but they're in a restaurant/bar that almost assuredly has cameras. So there probably is a side of this that we're not getting yet.

So right now he's just a dumb asshole. Which isn't any different to how I already viewed him.
