How Bad is What Mike Perry Did?

Acting like Perry did is a sure way to NOT get ahead in life. Actions have consequences and sometimes you lose more than you could ever gain by resorting to violence.

Got nothing to lose? Throw a punch over a perceived slight or light touch. Like your life and want to continue living it unimpeded? Be the bigger man and walk away.

It looked to me like he was causing a huge scene, obviously had done something for them to want him out of there before the video starts, and eventually goaded the fat guy into going at him.

Fat guy was dumb as fuck, but clearly Perry is out of control and caused the whole situation to begin with.

Also screaming at his girlfriend like she’s an enemy because she’s trying to prevent him from being a retard.

Just lol and defending this level of ridiculousness.

He knocked out an old ass man. What a bad ass Perry is. Worship that? No thanks.

What if that old guy had friends there who were armed? What if Perry broke his hand on the guys head? What if the old guy hit his head on the cement?

There are far greater issues here than "the old guy started it". Mature people just walk away. Professional fighters just walk away. Idiots hang around for the chance to show how tough they are.

My personal opinion?
It's really bad. People here are like "but the old man came at him" as if Perry was even remotely in any kind of danger. Look back at how Matt Serra handled the situation with that drunk guy a while ago - that's how you handle a situation when there is an obvious discrepancy in power. Just because you're acting "correctly" within the framework of the law doesn't make it the right thing to do.

Perry beautifully countered and dropped him

the old man initiated the fight and Perry reciprocated

he did nothing wrong here

Such as coming onto a professional fighter while he is already leaving and then insulting him, assaulting him and telling him you want to fight.
That certainly has and should have consequences.

BJ was not even fighting back when he got hit. He was not taking the guy serious but in all fairness he should have walked away too or choked the guy out. If the fat guy would have came after perry like the guy came after BJ I would not mind but that was hardly a threatening situation for Perry. Perry had already hit two different persons on that night one was a woman and the other employee but I guess neither of those hits were suckerpunches either right :)
