How about Tony Ferguson vs Clay Guida next?

Tferg vs Mas at 170lbs

Or Chiesa

At LW I’d like Jim Miller, or Jalin Turner. Or fuck it, give him Arman……wouldnt hate anybody if it was Guida.

Guida is one of my alltime favs. I’d pick him to energize bunny Tony’s ass. Probably a fair underdog. But I think he beats one more big name before he retires if they make that fight.

Please book this fight... Guida is always exciting what a fuking legend

I want to see Tony vs Paddy the Fatty

Maybe the winner of Tony/Clay fights Paddy. Paddy is on a roll right now and probably should fight someone a little more on the upswing than these two. (Though I would definitely be excited if Tony vs Paddy or Clay vs Paddy was made next)

I don't think so. He is over the 100k mark for pay. I don't think they will waste him on Guida. I don't think promotion wants to rebuild Tony unless they give him an easy fight so he can show up for a Mcgregor fight with a win.
Well shit, if they keep giving him monsters he's going to be 0-5, 0-6 before we know it and everyone will be calling for him to retire. I definitely think he should get a step down in competition for his next one. If he can win, then see about stepping it back up. I do like the idea of Tony fighting Conor, for a number of reasons, but I'm not so sure that's the fight UFC is gonna push for when Conor gets back. They'll probably give him Chandler or a freaking title shot right out of the gate.

I think promotion is just gonna try to milk him dry. He is getting older and he can be a little crazy. We all seen this before. UFC protects certain folks and they grind others down. I don't think Tony is popular enough to protect.

Of course Tony is way more physically imposing than Guida, and if this were 3-4 years ago people would be laughing their asses off at what a joke fight this was. But given the circumstance of the present moment I feel like this fight actually makes some sense. Tony is 0-4 in his last 4 and is definitely on the downswing of his career. Guida is 2-2 in his last 4. Both guys are old now (for MMA). Both don't have a chance at the title. However, both are still bangers and legends of the sport and I feel like this could still be a wild and entertaining fight. Of course Tony is still the favorite, but at this point, I think Guida gives him a good fight. If nothing else it helps Tony get back in the win column.

I like this way more than Tony/Paddy. Tony via sub.

Nah, give the man a striker, his knees are shot, he can't defend TDs or roll around like he used to.

Clay definitely is going to spam the take down button, and turn it into a super boring fight if he can.

Nah, the UFC is keeping Tony ranked so that Paddy can take his spot when hes ready to get pumped for PPV.

I still maintain that this is the fight to make. Give Tony one more and let it be against Guida.
