To the first part: Climb to glory!
About the second part: sure...

Guy should have got more of a push. Wasn't he a stay at home dad for 6 kids and fought on the side?

Yup, yet he is pretty big into charity and stuff. Pretty cool guy.

Great to see he’s still in the game in a way, and supporting our great nation

Yeah really. He even gave some motivational words to the soldiers!

Good stuff! What's your MOS? Appreciate your service brotha!

I am just a POG who likes to fight. These guys are warriors.

I dont really get what he could help a soldier with.

Regarding hand to hand its more about building morale and if you really think thats preparing you for real encounters soldiers who have experienced that make much much better advisers. Its in/out in seconds and more about using weapons and if not how to get them out.

Houston always was a very nice guy but also huge cardio free roid ball and that is the last thing you want as infantry.

So seems like a great time but very much doubt they learned much useful stuff.

Well to be fair, being in the army for a while can take a toll on you. Specially having the same old school PT sessions. Stuff like this really helps the soldiers morale and shows to them the appreciation they need.

Houston came across as a really nice dude, I thought. Single father to shitloads of kids, giving up a kidney or whatever, several jobs, solid guy.

He is really solid and has a lot of self control. Some young privates were trying to hit him hard and yet he didn’t fill the room with uppercuts.

He made it to the big stage of his profession and put on some fun fights. How many of us can say that?

Dude was scary as fuck back in his day..Glad you had a good experience..

Thanks, man. It was surely fun.

Why is everyone laughing in that second picture? Did someone fart or something?

they tried but at the end of the day this ain’t wrasslin with a script that says you win... you have to actually hold up yur end by winning actual real life matches... not get finished in the ufc 3 times in a row n get cut... get brought back, get kimboplexed out of the ufc again, flunk out of Bellator down the road as well, and ultimately retire 1-6 in yur last 7

Whats he gonna learn them?
How to bomb innocent children with drones?

All I see are a whole bunch of dirty nasty LEGS! Haha this is cool though man, glad you got the experience. Thanks for sharing it. People forget before he got exposed for his cardio issues, Houston Alexander was KOing people dead.

I hope they moved the training to sea level
