It's weird how people are pretending that request bans aren't a thing. It happens all the time. Although it appears @Blayt7hh has his lines crossed. Nobody got banned for a request from a third party that they got banned. The poster in question requested that his own account be banned.

After Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and the US declared war, the draft was used but the majority of American warfighters were volunteers. In fact, many teenaged boys forged their birth certificates in order to fight.

Even in Vietnam only 25% of men were forced to fight in the war. The US has never really had an issue finding people to fight their wars, for better or worse.

It seems that both Russia and Ukraine are having to snatch conscriptors off of the streets just to maintain their fight. I’m not crazy about that on either side. And no, I don’t like Putin and I really don’t even like Zelenskyy, but I do feel for citizens from both countries being physically forced to fight, and that’s why I’d like to see some sort of agreement be reached.
