Television HOUSE OF THE DRAGON (Renewed for Season 2, post #571)

She had been training for like nearly 10 yearsss, think she's with Jaqen H'ghar for like 2-3 years, then prior to that with Syrio, Brienne potentially as well.

Time in GOT especially in 7 and 8 was fucked up.

Plus she's a natural, as established in episode 1

I would have been perfectly happy with a show where Arya just went around assassinating people. Her entire character arc was one of my favourite parts of the show.

One of the best in the show for sure!

I also forget to mention in my post The Hound taught her a few things too .

Arya had probably the best storyline of the main characters until she left for Braavos. Then it went to shit.

It was like 8 years and she spent most of it traveling.

The problem back in day in discussions was that theres literally nowhere to jump from to assasinate night king. She literally michael jordans it from flat ground which means going through the horde of walkers

Had a good pic showing this back in day lol

Agreed. Arya/Hound, Arya/Brianne, Arya assassin arcs were some of my favorites.

But it was a big over step and mistake imo to have her take out the Night King. They had built up so much in the lore that had that as a collision between Dragons, Jon and Daenary and the lore of The Prince who was promised aided by Brann was the way to settle that.

Yeah, I remember those discussions. The worst part is half the stuff they did in season 8 could have worked if the didn’t set it up or explain it so lazy.

They could have used her in a bunch of ways to help too. Instead it’s just a quick stab out of nowhere. The long night just started and some of us had been waiting years for it.

D&D tried so hard to be unpredictable and surprise and shock everyone they sacrificed good writing for it.

Once they got star wars they were just mentally done with GoT. GoT was the old girlfriend and now they had a new one. I read that HBO had offered them 2 or 3 more seasons, as that had always been the talk, to wind up GoT properly and they just were not interested. Nope, we'll get it done in 1. that is not something show runners ever typically do.

I heard that too and it really pisses me off. I didn't hate the last two seasons as much as some people did, but they were definitely rushed. D&D should have turned the show over to new showrunners the finish the last few seasons.
The 7 and 6 episode seasons both felt rushed and forced.

the funniest part is that they lost Star Wars cause of how shit GoT Season 8 was.

Anyway. 2 episodes deep on House Of The Dragon. its something to watch but still feels just like cheap fan cosplay of GoT. nothing really interesting/good happening. the characters...are fucking ugly too

It's stupid. Jon had run ins with the NK for 8 seasons and doesn't even meet him in the "great battle". It's completely ridiculous haha...

It was pathetic.

Season 8 really gave me no interest in GoT/going back and watching it. it ruined the entire thing cause you know how it ends
Theres no pay off to Jon vs the Night King in the slightest and the night king/white walkers were the coolest thing besides dragons

Viserys channeled the energy of men everywhere when he declared how little he gave a shit about the tapestries.

Overall I'm growing less interested in the show with each passing episode. All the Rhaenyra intimacy scenes felt like pointless filler. A shot of her clutching at the sheets? Really?

Yes you have said multiple times in this thread now lol... I didn't enjoy it either, but lying about what happened doesn't help your argument.
