House of cards gets pulled from netflix (Kevin Spacey / Sex Assault megathread)

and we lost house of cards over this BS. I never even bothered with S6. Claire is not a good character to be a front runner. She was always a side character and never anything more than that.

So Kevin Spacey is innocent!

Not only is he innocent, but he's a hero, because he could have given in and paid off his accusers which is no doubt what they wanted, but he stood firm for what's right even though it cost him his career.

It's so sad. In this world the accused are treated like the guilty. The accusation is big news but the exoneration will be nothing more than a blip on the radar.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Robin Wright is a bitch!!!

Nah, you lost it over the original accusation, to which Spacey gave arguably the worst response ever to. This new one came some time after that, when the show and Spacey's career were already finished.

House of Cards has been shit since the end of season 3. You didn't lose anything worth keeping:rolleyes:

And to be accurate, this was only one accusation, and not the first. Spacey's response was to the first claim was to say he couldn't remember trying to assault the young actor, but apologising if had done it. He then said that from then on he would he would, "live his life as a Gay man". This severely pissed off the Gay Mafia, who weren't about to let Keyser Rapey drag them into his sordid fiasco.

I enjoyed all the seasons. They weren't as good as they show in it's prime but still good and I wanted to see a proper ending.

Jeffrey Epstein has been arrested for child trafficking and sexual abuse. Bill Clinton was a very good friend of his, traveling to his private island on many occasions. Pretty sure Trump has too. These people are sick fucks. Kevin Spacey is one of them.
Spacey's misconduct is bigger than this case, but it isn't anything as sordid as that. He makes inappropriate comments at work, and is a bit of a groper, but not in a way that amounts to sexual assault. I've seen the recent reports mentioning his connections to Epstein, but the thing is, Epstein had developed a network of young girls.

That is not Spacey's demographic.

To each their own. For me, by the end of season 3 all the main characters were repellent, pathetic or both. I had no interest in seeing how they ended up.

And of course, this is all Spacey's fault. He might have survived if he'd just admitted it from the start, and not tried to throw the LBGT Community, or whatever they're calling themselves this week, under the bus. Rarely has an attempt to gain sympathy backfired so spectacularly...

I feel bad that Kevin Spacey is such an asshole he fucked over all the people he worked with

(I never saw this show and don't give a fuck about it)

Thinking about the other actors and crew who can't put this show on their resume as it's deleted from existence

Yea Spacey coming out was probably the dumbest PR move of all time. You know he had some PR agent that thought it was a genius move.

Yup. Spacey being gay was the worst kept secret in Hollywood. Apparently he took his, "girlfriend" to an awards show once and said he loved her in his acceptance speech. Some critics pointed out it was Spacey's worst ever acting performance;)

But, quite rightly, no one gave a shit as long as Spacey was sleeping with consenting adults. Making a drunken attempt to sexually assault a teenager below the age of consent was bad enough. Trying to divert attention by, "coming out" was much, much worse. The LGBT community is very sensitive to these allegations, as back in less enlightened times, many people tried to equate homosexuality with the sexual molestation of young boys. Which of course is as retarded as saying all straight men are automatically rapists.

So the Gay Mafia made sure that Spacey's career was sent to sleep with the fishes...:)

I actually had no idea that he was gay but I never really tried to research the topic. I just knew him as an actor I enjoyed watching on TV. In fact he was the only reason I gave house of cards a chance cause I enjoy his acting. When I found out how crazy his upbringing was I wasn't exactly surprised. The guy seems kind of crazy in general.

I'd heard a few rumours about Spacey but DGAF. What consenting adults do in private is none of my fucking business.

The first time I saw Spacey was in Usual Suspects, and credit where it's due, he was brilliant in that.

I thought the first season was very, VERY good.

I thought the show changed when Kate Mara died off. I liked the dynamic between those two.

Season 4 was kind of a return to form - kind of...but then season 5 returned to garbage.

Or maybe season 3 was so boring that I grade season 4 on a curve.
