House Flipping (House Flipping Crew...)

I flipped my house. It may as well have been a smoking crater in the ground when I bought it. Lime green walls and shit like that. Me and my Dad completely re-did it together. Definitely not the most professional job you've ever seen but I'll make a tidy profit whenever I sell up
You get it for dirt cheap, at least?

Any pics??

Not so much a flip but had to convert the spare bedroom into a nursery for my newborn, was an absolute mess and nothing was level, replastered and new everything went in, still in good shape but with extra crayon all up the walls!

LOL, definitely looks fallout-esque

Damn, thats a lot of work ahead of you @Pwent .

House almost gives off a creepy vibe. Do those sliding doors / big ass step lead outside or to another portion of the house?

It leads to a radscorpion cave.

It looks nice and seems glamorous, but I'm sure it's not as easy as it looks. It's said you make your money on the front end, i.e., you have to find properties cheap so that you can profit when the property is sold. There's a lot of competition to find the great deals. People who have money stashed away to make cash offers have an advantage, too. If you can find people who are desperate to sell quickly at a dramatically reduced price such as preforeclosure, those can be good deals. I've always thought that people with contracting backgrounds have a good base for house flipping because they are experienced at identifying problems, estimating cost to fix/repair/upgrade the property, and can do a lot the work themselves (sweat equity). It also helps to have a reliable team of plumbers, electricians, etc to call upon when help is needed.

I wish I had the guts, resources, gumption and knowledge to do it.

my brother in law got into it... in 2007....

he took a big loss and got foreclosed after the market crash

the sliding doors lead to the 2nd living room which im making into the dining area. that area has sliding doors that lead to the patio (one from my other thread), which then goes out to the bigass yard (edited out my homie)

that nasty curtain is fucking gone and so are the blinds blocking the view of my yard

i have no idea what im gonna do with those sliding doors in the middle of my house. idk if i just want have one big sliding door, or just make it open (prob make it open). I definitely want to lower the door to where its level to the floor, so i dont have to step over and then down. Idk if the wall is so loadbearing that i cant fuck with it... I want to change that siding too

thats more of a tomorrow problem though, not gonna fuck with it before i move in
I'd remove the door and make it a huge room if possible. Dude, you have to watch all the HGTV shows for ideas!

My buddy does this back in Flint, Mi. He makes ok money but he works his ass off. He knows he needs to save up to buy bigger and better houses to flip to make the real money.

Wife and I are joining flipping crew next year.

Last year was wedding expenses.
This year a deck and other improvements on our crib.
Next year our resources are going into investment property. Flip or rental not sure yet

THe before and after pics shown look like they were done by the producers of the hair club commercials

Go to Denver & do this. If you feel like dealing with the headache of renting, that's a good job option too

im all about flip or flop

tarec and christina have done a few in the neighborhood where im buying my house. i even saw him when i was renting a car once, the guy working there said Tarec was renting an SUV because his escalade got stolen, then i saw it happen on camera when the episode aired lol

Mr brother did the electrics and helped i build new homes as my day job so I don't see it as a massive transformation but thanks! Probably a month or so but most of the time spent was picking furniture!!! (Women)
