Hotels Really Don't Have a 13th Floor

I never knew this was true but I guess some Hotel dont have a 13th flood cause they are scared. But what are they scared of. Is there a reason for this crazy superstition? Is the 13 floor that same a the friday the 13th?

I think some do, some don't. Pretty funny though, since it's just based off some old superstition. Here's another neat bit of info about elevators:

At Mandalay Bay in Vegas after the shooting (which took place on the 32nd floor) they changed it after 29 to 56-59s. Then it goes back at 35 to 39 then 60-62.
