I need to see Crimson Peak. It was endorsed by Stephen King, and I take his words to heart lol, so it must be good.Tel Toro's eye is incredible and has the Spanish flair of absolute lush imagery often missing in American cinema. director I can count on in that visually it will be a treat whatever he puts out. Pacific Rim wasn't the greatest film at all but sure was eye candy. I like his older films the best. Haven't seen Crimson Peak I think it's called?
I like films he has done all through his career. Cronos is a great "vampire" tale, and Pan's Labyrinth is a great fairytale for grownups. Pacific Rim, to me, was a good film, but kinda takes a hit for using so much CGI, which isn't exactly Del Toro's style. I know you can't really make that film without CG, but it is just strange to see so much CG used by a guy who came up on practical effects.
