He isn't close to as annoying as the kid from Cujo. I would merc that little shit. After seeing Cujo, kids don't annoy me anymore. The kid in Babdook was a hard voice to hear relentlessly screaming he made me grind my teeth, which only happens when I'm reading the newspaper. A good story but ultimately just couldn't stand that kid. So, not one of my fave films but I have friends who loved it. Different strokes for sure.
Great . . . now I gotta revisit that one. Who was the blondie in that? Someone kinda familiar . . .He isn't close to as annoying as the kid from Cujo. I would merc that little shit. After seeing Cujo, kids don't annoy me anymore.

LOL damn you're good. Knew it she was like the MLF of that era?!?!?!Dee Wallace, the mom from ET, Critters, and the news lady from The Howling.
Did anybody see The Taking of Deborah Logan? Thought it was a pretty good horror movie, and it had some creepy scenes in it.
Hansel and Gretel was pretty cool too, and it had some hot chicks. Not scary, but entertaining.
Dark Skies was enjoyable as well.
Anyone seen this and anyone recommendation it?
I get what you're saying about Dark Skies man!Dark Skies I can't recall it!! I just can't remember it so must have been drinking and/or high. Must be decent if I don't recall NOT LIKING It. I know doesn't make sense but it's the truth.
I've heard really good things about The Taking of Deborah Logan that it's pretty intense. So, that is on my list of must see. I trust certain friend's opinion when it comes to the scary creepster stuff and that's one they enjoyed.
^^
You summed It Follows perfectly! Rare that it can evoke that kind of creepy feeling and it was definitely a novel concept that hasn't been done before.
I saw it long ago. Definately a movie worth checking out for those who haven't seen it.Oh SHITE. Here's a good one. Anyone ever seen the late 90's film The Cube? Where you need to solve math problems are get sliced into cubes? Frakken awesome...just remembered it. But if you are claustrophobic forget it!
Damn, it took so long to come out I kinda forgot about it, tbh. I remember someone saying it wasn't that good though. Not that that matters, I guess.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I get bummed when people say they didn't (@GrizzlyTitan).I thought It Follows was really, really good. Definitely one of the better horror films I've seen in recent years.
First off, great concept. The movie is highly creepy in general, but I think what made it all the more effective was the fact that the concept becomes even more scary/disturbing the more you think about it and as you empathize with the main characters.
Good concept can falter with bad execution, but It Follows was masterfully shot, using the visual medium to create a pervasive sense of dread and tension. It also had a terrific score.
The film reminded me a lot of Halloween (and not just in the 70s/80ish vibe that it seemed to be emulating) in the sense that it relied more on tension and build up than it did on excessive gore or body count. I also thought the actors did fine work. Very good movie.
Sounds like Puppet Master minus the puppets.I get what you're saying about Dark Skies man!
I hope you enjoy The Taking of Deborah Logan as well.
Also, I have a question. A while back I saw this horror movie about a hotel I think. There were a few people who worked there and I think they were all in their 20s or something. One of them was a geeky dude with glasses who liked one of the girls. I think there were also 2 people who didn't work there, but were filming for a documentary or something. It was kind of a small hotel, and rather old. It also involded some dude who committed suicide there or something. And his wife may have died there.
Anyone have any idea which movie that was? I can't remember the name, the year or any of the actors who played in it. And searching on google didn't help me, so I'd appreciate it if someone knew. I know it's not much to go on, and it's not a very well know movie or it would have shown up on google easier I think.
