The last thing I remember is the Schwann's guy coming by and bringing them pizzas and stuff. How far did you get?
I just couldn't stomach it. But I don't want to give my complaints about it until you've seen it cause everything I'd say would relate to a lot of the later elements of the film.
I LOVED it. Total package deal for me.Watching It Follows soon though.

Thanks mang. I respect the opinions of pretty much all of the reas in these threads. A lot of veterans with good taste around here.In that case, I'm watching it tonight lol. I respect the hell out of your opinion when it comes to horror. I actually heard a ton of good things about this one but there are definitely some detractors on the forum too.
Here is info re: the remake of MartyrsThis whole post is full of win, two things though: when was Martyrs remade, and I have never her of Calvaire. Everything else is legit. Good taste.
Snake Plissken in a western horror film - gotta tell me 'about that one when you are done watching!Where the hell did this thread come from?
Is there anything interesting on the horizon? I have Bone Tomahawk ready to watch, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

America can never leave foreign films alone like "Let the Right One In" which is another exceptionally well made vampiric film. Book is superior and so much more disturbing/gross.
Here is a something from Calvaire:
I couldn't find the old ones so said fuck it, we will rebuild.Where the hell did this thread come from?

Thank you, old chap.
I used to have the novel Let The Right One In, but never read it before it was stolen. Mayhaps I will download it after I finish my black metal book?
That zombie book the author wrote sounded pretty good too.
I do know enough about the book to know what the scar is and all of that. I hadn't planned on reading it when I researched it, but realized there was so much left out of the movies that I decided I would. That detail that was left out is prettyYou are quite welcome.
The book's more intense and explains so much more which is only alluded to in the film. When I saw the strange scar on Eli I knew there was more to the story. It's a whopper and one of the sickest characters (Eli's "keeper") I've ever read. Too intense and taboo for film. Do read it well worth it, I think!
By the way thank u for making this thread as horror is one of my fave genres of film. Good catharsis for me seeing horror. Another Honorable Mention (especially the excellent music) Sinister w/Ethan Hawke, staggeringly creepy that gets ya.
I really enjoyed how little they explain about the "villain." It is like Michael Myers in the first Halloween. You just don't know why he does what he does.BTW, "It Follows" is one distinctively fresh film for a horror film. Captures the feeling of dread really well and really an original idea.
I keep saying it's because of the expectations of it being a monster movie going in.I really enjoyed how little they explain about the "villain." It is like Michael Myers in the first Halloween. You just don't know why he does what he does.
Sidenote, I am glad people are generally positive about that film as opposed to how negative everyone is being about The Babdook. The Babadook is getting torn to shreds in its thread.

Guys, i need help finding a movie. It's not thread worthy yet. It was a vampire movie i think, with a girl vampire. She ended up making out with a blonde girl that was on vacation or something with her dad. She bit her when they were getting it on. One of the girls ends up killing the dad and putting him in the trunk of a car (i think, i remember a trunk being involved) I think the girls get it on in a convertible jeep. I saw this when i was like 7 and that's all i can remember of it. I really wish i could find it.
The kid in Babdook was a hard voice to hear relentlessly screaming he made me grind my teeth, which only happens when I'm reading the newspaper. A good story but ultimately just couldn't stand that kid. So, not one of my fave films but I have friends who loved it. Different strokes for sure.I really enjoyed how little they explain about the "villain." It is like Michael Myers in the first Halloween. You just don't know why he does what he does.

I am liking your post, but not enjoying It Follows puts you on thin ice.Bone Tomahawk was awesome. One of the better horror movies I saw recently.
Didn't really like It Follows. Didn't care for the character all that much and I didn't really get a feeling of dread either. Bone Tomahawk did that way better for me.
Recently saw Sinister 2. Thought it was decent. Not great, but an entertaining movie.
Troll Hunter was pretty cool, but not really scary.
