Horrific crimes that never made it...

I am curious to know if there has been a horrific crime in your hometown or community that never been archived in the internet?

I ask because I like to listen to these horror story channels and some people submit stories from the 90s or the past in the true story section but they seem so unbelievable that it seems fiction since its way too damn over the top.

Curious to know if anything like this happened with only a minor mention in the local paper?

Killed like 6 women in one year but it was never publicized outside of our local news

I don't think it's really famous outside of Canada, but in my shithole little town there was like a 12 year old girl banging some dude in his twenties. They had a Twilight thing going on where she was convinced she was a vampire, and he was convinced he was a 300 year old Werewolf. Anyway when her family found out about this shit they got rustled. As a result the two murdered her entire family, including her 8 year old brother. It was so vicious and horrific the police wouldn't release certain details to the press.

The dude is serving a life sentence and the girl got released from prison back in 2016 after 10 years

I recently tried to find information about a guy I knew that bludgeoned his grandmother to death with a typewriter in the 90's in my hometown. I was about 16 or so years old and my friends and I had just gotten some acid off the guy the night before. The next day I woke up and saw his face on the front of the Toronto Sun newspaper for killing his grandmother. I've never since been able to find any information about that story.

but the coverage that the Highway of Tears in BC has gotten is pretty pathetic given how fucking depressing and wierd the whole story is. Upwards of 40 women missing* or murdered along one stretch of highway but literally nothing has really been done by the Government to give closure to victims families.

Just seems like the government been trying for decades to sweep it under the rug because "who gives a shit its native people and prostitutes"

Yup, I remember that. I was living there at that time. My buddy lived on the same block as the house they discovered the bodies.

In the mid 80s there was an incident in Howard Beach, Queens NY, where a mob of white teens chased and beat a group of black guys. One black ran in front of a car and was killed. The town I lived in was black. There were several beatings on white people for revenge after the news. One guy was beaten in front of the library and died from his injuries. Never made the news. Another was chased into a parking lot and jumped. They stripped him and pissed on him. Only made local news. No one was ever charged.

Sounds super similar to the Rod Ferrell story.

This honor roll and student athlete girl was found dead in her parents' house. She was splayed on the floor, candles around her, a bunch of other stuff.

They said it looked like a ritual killing. Her parents got investigated and were tried for it. Not sure of the outcome.

No, local police kept saying it was 6 unrelated crimes but everyone in our area wasnt buying that
They stepped up night patrols big time (which is something they wouldnt have to do if these were random unconnected crimes) and some of the cops in my towns police department were known to do murders for hire and other serious stuff(they were later arrested for those crimes) so no one trusted them or anything they said
To this day no one has any clue who killed these women and teenage girls

There was this chick who ended up in Vancouver I think, they found her in a building water jug (not sure the name, its a giant one), it only happened after residents got worried. I don't think they found the killer or resolved the case.

It actually spooked me dad a bit, because my sister is quite the emotional train wreck and can go missing for days then come back home. So it really hit him when he saw it on the news.

That area still has an Italian American population. Not many areas left that are like that. That Pizza place I go to once a month and it is amazing. But there are some old school assholes there.
