Honest, But Silly Question: How Would Buff Conor Do @185?

Taps to choke, same as every other weigh class he's been in?

Not always or even close to that. Just really tired of ridiculous threads. I mean the absolute bottom of the barrel from the LCD. I feel like a college student trying to understand the daily machinations of the average 5 year old. I’m older than most of you and don’t have the patience for this bullshit.

then just dont click on those threads?

Bruh @GoshiShun17 SD isn't even able to have a serious or civil thread on a normal Conor topic, not sure why you thought this would/could have any real success. Most people can't be light hearted when it comes to Conor. Emotions run high when they start reading and see the C and the o in succession of each other, their heart beat rises and blood starts to boil.

Nor do I think the topic subject is one that really tickles the imagination in the first place. Dude has packed on some size, but not enough for MW. Dude doesn't have the frame for it. He doesn't even have the frame for WW.
So I've learned. I have made maybe 2 or 3 Conor related threads in the 10+ years I've been here. I enjoy Conor but I'm not exactly a fan boy. I enjoy it when he's beaten and I was heartbroken when he killed Aldo. But still, Conor is entertaining.

With that said, each time I got called a Conor nuthugger and I can't even recall giving the guy a compliment lol. The haters are much worse than the huggers.

The good news for me is any one of you with intelligence will actually adopt a similar attitude too.. Someday. If the clowns that come a generation or two behind you are as the generations behind myself. You’ll wonder where the fuck it all went wrong.

Then leave the forum / don't read it.

I think a guy like Gastelum would absoutley slaughter him, Gastelum has an epic chin, his chin is beyond excellent, never ever been knocked out or finished with strikes.. Conor would have no effect on him, even if he lands flush.. and what would happen is Gastelums hands are fast and heavy and Conor would just wilt and fall apart as always, he would be exhausted after a few minutes and just wilt and get finished

I'm trying to come up with a MW who wouldn't just take him down or who is the very best MW. Gastelum is good but not the best and he seems to never wrestle since like 10 years. I think Gastelum just drops Conor hard after Conor can't KO him and he wilts and fall apart in an exchange near the fence

Huh? Gastelum leaned heavily on his wrestling to secure the win against Heinisch. That was the story of the fight: him outwrestling Ian across 15 minutes. He attempted 14 takedowns and scored 6, racking up almost 7 minutes of control time. He also attempted 5 takedowns against Hermansson (probably not a great idea in hindsight), 4 against Till, 5 against Whittaker, and 9 against Adesanya -- but only had one success against each man. He went 0 for 8 against Cannonier, but there's no shame for that considering how good Jared's defensive grappling is plus the size difference that night and the point is that he absolutely was trying to wrestle him.

He would ragdoll Conor, IMO. But yeah, I do agree with you that even his boxing would be enough if he chose to go the path of greater resistance. Bigger and insanely durable southpaw boxer with powerful, fast hands (particularly his left) and the ability to take Conor down at will and grind on him while keeping a consistent pace/pressure-fighting across five rounds... come to think of it, Kelvin has many of the same tools Dustin does, minus the calf kicks (though he has better offensive wrestling to make up for it and his head kicks really aren't bad IMO). Not sure how some yoked up McGregor wins that fight.

He struggles to find that power at LW and WW.

MWs would walk through him and ko him in a round.

Hey guys, I was just wondering how Conor would do in a cartoon universe where he has no weaknesses.

Haters can fuck off
I think he could stretch his opponent's neck by a yard with an uppercut, and when he'd do a hook, the infortunate guy would start to spin so fast it would start to dig the octagon, he'd say hello to Jones, then land in China.
With a cross, the time would freeze just a millisecond before impact, and the camera would zoom in to the head of the opponent who'd then proceed to say his gimmick. Then with impact you'd see a giant nuclear mushroom and Dana White calling his insurance company.

He'd also have a literal helicopter (as opposed to a metaphoric helicopter... Ahem) flying around him to fill him with gas.

'Okay let's assume he has no cardio issues and he can make weight and he won't face wresters. He cuts down from 255 to make 185. He stops doing drugs and finds a deep motivation besides money to compete. HOW GOOD WOULD HE DO AND IF YOU DON'T TAKE MY NON SERIOUS THREAD SERIOUSLY THEN FUCK YOU!'

His undoubtedly good punching power isn't going to carry up that high.

He’d get put in a stretcher by fucking anybody in the top 100

If he followed his same pattern and fought LWs at MW then he could probably continue on being a .500 fighter above FW.

He would go from 3-4 in his last 7 to 3-7 in his last 10 and move back to a different weight class.

I don't know too much about WW but he's going to have to fight Usman and Chimaev if he moves up there if he wants a title.

His cardio was not the greatest without the muscles. Mentally, the man is shot as far as mma goes.

I don't know if he's going to MW but his coach just announced he's not going back to LW.
