Honest, But Silly Question: How Would Buff Conor Do @185?

Conor's power was speed/accuracy/timing at 145lbs, and that was the way he was putting guys out. At 155lbs he could land knockdowns but didn't have enough power to do what he did at 145lbs. Maybe bulking up finally gives him that 1 touch KO from power alone, but his speed isn't the same what it was so he's changing a huge part of his style. All depends if he can generate some good power with his extra weight. Imagine how much power he'll need to get through Izzy lol.

More serious question, how would he do against a sherdogger?

<{UberTS}>

His power to weight ratio dropped just going up one weight class. Going up 2 more and he'd be well below average.

He gets Ko’d stiff in round one. The only thing I can’t decide is if it’s before or after he completely gasses.

why isn't there more talk of WW title shot? get WW first and then move up to MW for 4th belt!
How dare you downplay his epic run through WW. He's 2 -1, victories over such WW goats as Nate and Cowboy.

He had beef with Mousasi. Gegard called him ginger retard or something like that and told he would kill him in a fight.

Book it Dana. The co-promotion we were all waiting for

Size matters. Izzy went up to 205 and lost easily to a very average guy in Jan. I suspect that conor would not beat any of the top guys at 185.

He would lose his biggest advantages that he had as a FW. Height, Reach, and Size.

Even at LW, he had pretty long reach.

Conor would also gas much quicker than normal.

Skill advantage was Conors biggest advantage at FW. He KOed bigger man Poirier with ease.

He landed a good shot on Poirier that grazed Poirier behind the ear.
Conor was very skilled, but it definately helped that he had a huge reach advantage over most of his opponents. He also had a good height and size advantage over them as well.

Long reach is very important for a guy who fights like Conor.

Let's assume he somehow skips the few wrestlers/grapplers.

Let's also assume Conor is also fully or decently functional at this new weight.

How does he do against the top ranked and/ higher profile strikers? Ex. Kevin Holland, Uriah Hall, Gastelum, Cannonier etc. etc.

I know it's a bit silly but just for fun?
I figure there are too many big wrestlers at 170, and supposedly he may not fight at 155 again

*edit* LOL at all the overly literal and serious responses in this thread. I'm purposely ignoring things like cardio. It's just supposed to be a fun stylistic comparison.

Motherfuckers in here talking bout they are tired of stupid topics and/or Conor threads, yet they're always the same quickest jackasses to respond. If you're so tired of sherdog, log the fuck off and get a life. No one made you click the "Conor thread" Otherwise while you're here, take the stick out of you arses.
Not poorly but not well. Not as well as he'd do at 205 where the competition is a bit weaker. Him vs Jiri would be fun and I think he has what it takes to submit Glover as well.

It would be badass if he moved to HW and called Daniel out of retirement on some grudge shit. Go Conor!!

Maybe he lands a miracle KO, but otherwise he's getting absolutely wrecked.

Gastelum would KO him in 1 round. Even Holland would destroy him just based on length/power.
His power didn’t seem to translate that well to LW.. I don’t see him KOing anyone at MW tbh… even he manages to land

Agree on pure reach, its more beneficial for a striker than size or height. Size and strenght however gives wrestlers gigantic advantage way more than reach does between two good strikers.
Jones for example has basically every advantage and he is also masterfull at using them on top of it.

Kamaru has already stated he knows he can't beat Conor 3.0 and will vacate the belt if Conor comes back at WW.

Khabib who is basically a WW rag dolled Conor. He'd get manhandled at 185 lol

Buff Connor is still a LW, he's no Hector Lombard size-wise
