Platinum is an absolutely nightmare. Get 100 percent completion with a playtime of less than 30 hours and a separate trophy for beating it under 5 hours. Not a fan of those. I’m going to stick to the games I’ve been looking forward to like Cronos, Silent Hill f, Absolum, Hell is Us, Ghost of Yotei, and Ninja Gaiden 4, Terminator, Sonic Racing Crossworlds, and the new Katamari. That’s a lot of games. I don’t see myself having the time for this one and then early next year already looking stacked. First world problems lol

Yea I'm trying to decide what to do next as well. Shinobi plat seems beyond what I'm willing to do but we will see. I've already beat it just working on getting 100% on all the levels. I'm leaning towards Hell is Us.
Which one you think going to give trouble? S rank on all levels?

Yea the S rank. I read up on the forums to get an idea of how much trouble people were having and I don't know if it's worth it. I'm going to attempt it but not going to spend to much time on it. I'm already having trouble with the last Elite Squad on the assault level. It's hard as hell to get to with that moving box and the fire everywhere.

The rest of the trophies seem doable.

Lightening in a bottle again with this one

between this and Ori, they just have that magic formula and overall polish that other games cant match, loving it after an hour or so playing it, like talking to a familiar friend you have know for ages but not seen for a while

They aren't the team that made Ori. That was made by Moon Studios.

I know that, but both teams have captured exactly what people want from a modern metroidvania, and they arent just pushing out rubbish
The Lost Crown and Ender Magnolia are up there too for me at least.

Played it for a bit. It's good, and they've made a few enhanced tweaks in presentation, but for the most part it looks and feels the same as Hollow Knight, which isn't a bad thing.

My only complaint is the platforming bits where you have to use the downward thrust attack to bounce on certain objects. It was irritating in the original and it's far worse here, because the attack is on an angle and it's just not practical. I spent a good 15 minutes or so, just trying to "bounce" my way on some rose buds to get to another level. It's trash, and I will not even be attempting it's more extreme platforming challenges because of it. I already want a patch to get rid of it, but good luck to me. If there is one thing I can't stand in this series, it's that bullshit. It's completely unnecessary, and is just a pain in the ass for the sake of it.

Other than that, I'm just getting my feet wet. Beat some bosses, bought some maps from the new "map" guy, unlocked the bug subway guy, and have just started to really get in groove. I have a feeling that this game is gonna be HUGE, in comparison to the original.

Super enjoying the game but i also really don't like the change to downwards attacks.

I appreciate them giving Hornet the diagonal attack to mimic her boss moveset from the previous game but i've had a few situations where i couldn't avoid damage due to enemies being below me in confined spaces and because i couldn't do a straight downwards attack i had to just drop on them and take damage.

For platforming, it's really thrown me off. I'm sure i'll adjust to it but not having the ability to attack downwards seems really shit at the moment. Hopefully, there is an item that changes the animation back at least.

Game is cock and ball torture. Hollow Knight is so much better its not even funny.

so, a few hours in and that diagonal jump is horrible, who ever cleared that to be used needs firing

other than that, loving the rest of the game

ah so ok, it seems you can unlock something that gives you back your normal downward attack, and its before you get to those jumpy plant bits

Oh' thank God.

I agree about the downward attack. A couple other nitpicks are the shards capping out at 400 early on, the map seems worse now in terms if the detail and zoom and I found strange than you can farm infinite rosary beads right next to the cartographer and buy out his entire store.

Oh' thank God.
so one thing you need to get it is the 500 pound key, i wont spoil how you get it or where it is

but if you are interested, its called the crest of wanderer

I liked that you could do that, because I don't like that aspect in either game. The map should be automatic, and you certainly shouldn't have to buy a "power up" to see where you are on it. Oh' and you need another item to track certain parts of the map too. I mean, c'mon. It's so damn annoying going into a new area and blindly having to track that fucker down, just so you can properly begin to explore the area.

this doesnt sound like the game for you, millions of others to play

i am absolutely loving it now i have a few more power ups, it can be frustrating in the first few hours but it really starts to open up

GOTY easy for me

I never played Hollow Knight. Is it really that good such that Silksong is the most anticipated game of the year?
